  1. Updated group shot of my poor man's collection of Golden Age Joker Covers taken at LCS Mission Comics owned by Leef Smith.

I am trying to decide whether to obtain a copy of Batman #49, where the Joker is mentioned on the cover, but is not really in the comic book.

Poor folk do not typically have collections as awesome as yours :applause:

one nice set display of books, spread the love around

Just seeing this thread for the first time, and this pic is incredible. Congrats!

  2. Nothing earth-shattering, just a little low grade goodness here.

If I can remember how to resize it I'll replace the raw with graded in my sig line.

Beautiful Leroy! Looks like a VG :cloud9:

This book does present VG. There must be dome hidden defects we are missing.

    Oh...just caught spine split.

CGC ceiling grade is 1.8 for completely split spine.

I will take any spine split 1.8 that looks like that all day long.

it's a good defect to have when you can get an otherwise nicer book for a discount. And in the slab, it really doesn't make a difference

I love this type of book.

    Thanks

    I want a pony!

Feel free to stop spamming the boards any time now. That's what the WTB forum is for (and one post will do, thanks).

  4. Being a new owner of a 27 with no cover I am thnking of starting a KEY coverless post, Id love to see whats really out there (I am not sure it has not been done already?).

I think this is a great idea. I bet it also results in some really great books - books that are too rare for their own "CLUB" threads, etc. ;)

  5. Ask for your grading money back. (thumbs u

Love the new name, Jeff! (thumbs u

    :hi: Court!!!!!!

Hoping to see you and Brian and Cullen at NYCC this year :wishluck:

    :hi: Ryan!

I will definitely be there - working on the artist roster for that show now, and there will be some new faces in the group this year! Unfortunately, looks like Cullen and Brian might be skipping this one, though. :(

  6. +1

I absolutely love this book. I think we might be witnessing the start of something special.

I think I can tell when Greg was struggling with deadlines and the art is a bit rushed (most notably, in issue 6), but for the most part I really love his art. IMO, they should just slow it down and let him work at his page to deliver the best product possible. I don't mind the wait. ;)
