  1. Thank you @John E., very cool of you to say. Standing (sitting?) in front of a large group of people is not my thing, but Mike is so upbeat and enthusiastic about comics, art, anything pop culture, it's easy to let him talk! And show off an amazing commission collection that we mere mortals can only dream of. Miller, Mignola, Toth (he has two!), Frazetta, and the list goes on...
  2. Yup, max 18, and then 6 for each attending artist. The idea is to post new content to sites in addition to whatever they're posting to CAF.
  3. I can't say exactly, but I'm setting up a few pieces to sell and I'm guessing everyone will just be able to browse my stuff from a list of other folks who have done the same thing. I don't know if there will be an ability to search across all of those selling for the con though. CAF would have to answer that question. Once you find something, you would simply contact the owner to arrange the purchase, just like with a CAF sale piece today. For the panel stuff, you'll be able to see the content in CAF/follow a link to YouTube and it will also be broadcast to Facebook too.
  4. I'll ask, but I wouldn't expect it. He's a busy man so really only allows the distraction/break for a full on cover quality commission and I've been keeping him busy on those of late. I'll hopefully get him to show them off on Saturday as they are EPIC. MAD magazine related, Silver Surfer with a friend, and then a DCU double-date piece.
  5. I'm offering up some pieces by Allred, Bermejo, Craig, McManus, Nowlan, and may include a Keown Hulk page. With the Hulk. In a suit. I'll also be moderating a talk with Mike Allred on the Saturday between 4-5 eastern, 1-2 pacific. Feel free to throw insults at me, or ask questions about Mike's art, his collecting (he collects LOTS of things, including original art), and anything else you might want to hear him talk about. See you on the interwebs!
  6. I once FOUND a piece of art in a dumpster! I came in to work after a day off and happened to mention to a colleague that I was expecting a package. I got told something did arrive for me and it was put at my desk. Nothing was there. At their suggestion, I went to check the dumpster and thankfully it was relatively visible, and undamaged. Overzealous cleaning crew!
  7. I'll be selling this painted page for a friend at some point, Fabry Slaine. Not sure on pricing as they seem hard to find comps for.
  8. I share the no thought. This is from the second story in the issue, not the one where Frank Einstein (later Madman) is introduced which would be a lot more desirable. Simon, rep for Mike Allred since 2005 or so.
  9. I get the idea here, but at the same time, I think we should only consider items with a numeric value in the field, not anything that is not "NFS" or otherwise specific things to include. That ensures that we would only see items that have a listed price and aren't a fishing excerice where maybe the piece really isn't for sale.
  10. Exactly as Malvin said above. In this specific case, you can give the seller the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't know he only has the inks for sale, not a single piece of board with both pencils and inks.
  11. I have some Mike Allred pieces from the Bendis written Ultimate Marvel Team series for sale: http://www.gotsuperpowers.com/ArtistGalleryTitleDetails.asp?Details=1&ArtistId=711&Type=%&Mag=Ultimate+Marvel+Team-Up
  12. It looks like a simple description error - it's a Glenn Fabry complete DD issue. Has anyone pointed out the error to Heritage? I imagine they'll fix it quickly with no fuss.
  13. If the black hole collector has now sold a piece, then it sounds like you've opened a black hole. Congrats on doing that and hopefully more toys for the rest of us to enjoy! And of course, congrats on such a fine page. A fine example. Simon
  14. Any guesses by anyone as to how many strips are out in the wild? Or do we know many pieces in the Billy Ireland collection and therefore not out there?
  15. Flip or shill? "Sold" at 6.1k https://www.ebay.com/itm/TYLER-KIRKHAM-ORIGINAL-ART-TO-DEADPOOL-BACK-IN-BLACK-1-11X17-VENOM-DEADPOOL-/184135947663 BIN/Best offer listing at 10k with the exact same title/description https://www.ebay.com/itm/TYLER-KIRKHAM-ORIGINAL-ART-TO-DEADPOOL-BACK-IN-BLACK-1-11X17-VENOM-DEADPOOL/164055025254
  16. Hi Folks, I'm going to be making a rare con appearance at C2E2 (arriving Friday Saturday, leaving Sunday and only Saturday at the con) and was curious who else might be attending. I've never been to the con so any suggestions would be appreciated! Also, I will be bringing a portfolio of odds and ends I would be open to selling/trading, and some goodies I'm selling on behalf of Mike Allred (www.gotsuperpowers.com) so feel free to message me if you want to try and say hi. Best Simon Miller
  17. Ah, Google, why didn't I think of you a few seconds earlier: https://www.comicartfans.com/subnewsdetails.asp?nid=6418 So maybe it's just this book that was done digitally, but I don't know if he stayed that way.
  18. I believe based on the silent auctions that his rep (Mark Hay/www.splashpageart.com) has run that he has indeed gone to the dark side and is mostly digital now. The auction I'm thinking of was for the first splash from the Damned book and it noted that only some of the pages (pieces?) were done traditionally. I can't see the post on the site now, sorry.
