  1. Is it just one artists you're asking about or multple? It could be that the artist is in the process of changing reps so they're choosing to not reply rather than reveal the state of change.
  2. Thanks! And related, looking forward to the @BCarter27best of 2022 budget post!
  3. Attempted flip/confirmation that good sh-it will still get good eyes on eBay? Bill Sienkiewicz Beauty And The Beast 2 cover, sold on eBay in October for $14,300 (plus shipping, plus maybe tax) https://www.ebay.com/itm/134295329553 Sold Jan 2023 on Heritage for $13,500 (buyer pays $16,200, with BP, but chances are the seller isn't getting that!) https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/covers/bill-sienkiewicz-beauty-and-the-beast-2-cover-original-art-marvel-1985-one-of-t/a/7338-93103.s
  4. Man, I hope the buyer for this piece isn't reading this thread... Or it doesn't pop up on Glen's site at 3x shortly.
  5. Agreed, but it was also shared there was someone matching the result so that probably bumped it a chunk.
  6. I don't know him, other than Kit Walker isn't his real name. I've messaged with him a little via Facebook so sent him a message there for you. If others are on friendly terms with him, they might want to reach out too!
  7. I don't think this is exactly a flip, more just shady. The descriptions are exactly the same too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/394346554331 ended November 27 A couple of weeks later, a new seller, BIN but amazingly in the same city... https://www.ebay.com/itm/144848225715
  8. Parker is my favourite of Cooke's works and wish I hadn't baulked at the prices when pages first become available. You live and learn. And pay more.
  9. Same - I put in two requests and it was quite a while before I heard back on either. Thankfully neither consumed all my budget so it wouldn't have stopped me had I seen more I liked (I didn't), but waiting is not fun! Oh and I got them both. Huzzah!
  10. Thank you for asking/following up - your engagement and responsiveness are excellent. I got an email this morning and, without having changed anything (no change to the URL like you suggested), clicked the link from the Gmail app, launched the in-app browser and CAT displayed perfectly. Well, the GDPR/cookie notice is still not displaying fully and gets cut off after the "Learn more" text. I have to scroll to get the bottom navigation bar to move so I can see the "Got it!" text.
  11. Well, since the owner is Jim, who is to say it's not the house making an offer knowing he won't accept it?
  12. I might be having the same problem. I get the email in the Gmail app on my iPhone, open it, click a link which opens the in-app browser but that doesn't seem to keep me signed in like I would expect so the notice isn't really there, I have to sign in again. I would also say that after signing in, the cookie/GDPR notice isn't fully in view in the in-app browser so I can't easily dismiss it.
  13. I prefer the forum format too - Facebook is way too clunky to follow a post and engage on it properly. Over here I can pick and choose the topics that I'm interested in and get emails automatically on a new post. Comments on a Facebook post I want to follow seem to get lost, and then you have threads off of a comment which I don't see...it's a mess.
  14. Agreed. He's got a great eye for the finer details and makes me feel like an amateur sometimes! I think it's also worth remembering he used to (maybe still does?) write descriptions for Albert Moy's auctions/website.
  15. The piece in CAF has been there since 2019, so I'm not sure what is going on, but might not be a flip but instead a sold piece not removed from CAF.
  16. The Peter David run on Incredible Hulk for me...but especially the Pantheon arc (aka the Keown issues).
  17. Of the lots I was tracking (and man there was a LOT!) the Jim Lee Deathblow 9 cover at 102k is a stunning price. Jim Lee Deathblow #9 Cover Original Art (Image, 1994).... Original | Lot #93095 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com)
  18. I think the McFarlane X-Force issues in Heritage will be a shining example of this - too much inventory at the same time hurting the potential end price if it was 2-3 at a time, over time. But it's probably all the things.
  19. I don't know the comic, but I know the signature is Jason Shawn Alexander, so hopefully that helps you.
  20. I did all my buying before the con (not con related art purchases) but sadly, missed the start of the first day due to other commitments and missed all the things I might have been tempted with... But yes, lots of the same art from the prior cons at 2035 prices.
  21. Yup! Bachalo - Incredible Hulk 400 page 47, in Simon M.'s Hulk art :: Comic Art Gallery Room (comicartfans.com)
