  1. Perhaps but hey, some of the prizes here are fantastic! If I had to wait a few weeks to get some of the stuff here, I would happily do so. Has me excited to up my own prize for next year!
  2. I will turn off my auto robo-dialer 3000. It was enjoying a change from dialing telemarketers.
  3. Wasn't oakman29 picking for him? Someone who knows kav should decide. I am sure someone knows him well enough. Plus he can't be mad if he is away and missed it. At least someone was looking out for him.
  4. I just rigged up a machine to redial it every ten minutes and vote for Jason Todd to die...I mean to select a prize that doesn't exist.
  5. I am online this evening so if it gets to me, can I be given the 20 minutes to reassess what is still available? If I take too long, resort to my default list
  6. As a comic fan, the ASM 129 would not leave my collection. I also think it has longer term value. FF 48 will definitely go up and may exceed 129 in the coming years when Marvel undoubtedly brings the FF, Silver Surfer and Galactus into the MCU. I just think this book overall has had more ups and downs wheras ASM 129 has always been a steady sell. You will always have more Spidey fans than Silver Surfer/Galactus
  7. I never specified but I ship to Canada and US. Overseas I have never done, but I am sure I can work something out
  8. Yes definitely. Best case scenario you get a grade bump which is a huge value bump. Worst case you get the same and spend a bit but it’s in a new holder.
  9. Can I send my top 20 picks in since I am 20th? In case I’m sleeping or working
  10. I will also say 8.0-8.5. Some light spine wear is what is keeping it outta the 9 range.
  11. Gotcha. Do top 3 only get prizes or do people generally go down the order of who placed where?
  12. What is the process here? I have some stuff to send to the winner. Do they post an address to ship to? Do they pick what they want from this thread?
  13. I need to go back to a small junk and collectible store again. He has a lot of these issues albeit rough although I scored #1-10 in mid grade the other week. Will have to see if I can complete the run!
  14. I see a few small spine ticks. I will conservatively say 9.0-9.2
  15. I think it has a shot at an 8.5 personally. Are those banana talkies in your pocket or were you just excited to get some feedback?
  16. I am at 2.5-3.0 for the Hulk 181. Chunks missing yes but your book looks nicer than a guy who just posted a SA Hulk #2 that got a 2.5 and had a big chunk gone. So maybe even a 3.5 for this one if CGC is feeling soft like they seem to be nowadays. As for the FF, solid higher low grade book. 4.5 for me.
  17. Even with the "certificate" and coming from that collection, the issues are not valuable issues. So as revat said, you may get a bit more but it could be tough. Its just not a series that a lot of people are paying more than $1-2 an issue for, even in very nice shape. They made a lot and a lot of stores have these issues available and sitting for people to buy.
  18. Nice, well if you want to send me pics any time, I love doing anything comic related in my spare time. Or even ask a question about a particular issue, I tend to check here throughout the day.
  19. I would gamble on it too and press and regrade. Side question...can you not remove water stains? I have seen it done on books but never comics. Would that type of resto be detectable? Far as I know, it involves getting the page wet again to try and blend the stain so it is fainter and then applying drying techniques to smooth the pages.
  20. If you have stuff from the 60's to 80's and you wants some opinions on grading, I am happy to help. Send me some pictures if you can. I can give you some grading pointers and assist with value. I can also give an idea if the collection has any books worth grading or not.
  21. I don’t see the market crashing like it did in the 90s. Collectors are smarter and with movies driving things, I think comics will continue to do fine. as mentioned though people can and always have asked whatever they want in some cases. Every day I chuckle at asking prices on eBay. That being said I do know Rick and Morty has a huge following and certain issues have some major value. I know nothing about the print runs though.
  22. Couple very light stress marks along spine. Also a faint crease in pic 7 near top staple. 9.4 would be the highest I think.
