    The creases like that tend to get dinged relatively hard. I will say 5.5 range. Someone might think it has 6.0-6.5 potential but I really don't know. Most example I just perused in this grade don't have large creases like that hence why I am inclined to think it would grade lower.

    1.0. Looks like my DD1 in 1.0, all there but lots of wear. Not sure what this book is worth in that grade if that is your reason for possibly grading. If just wanting to preserve it and keep it well of course grade it.

    I feel like the edge wear might be a bit much to warrant 7.0. I will go 6.0-6.5 with a press likely making that back spine look great and ensuring the 6.5 at least. Great copy!

    I can never decide. So I own both. Both are great for different reasons. I think I like the cover of 252 overall but the image of Spidey on MSW 8 overal is better (the tiny characters in the background isn’t the best).

    A pic of the inside cover would help...appears to be marker someone used to outline and draw on the boom rather than colour touch. I would grade as VG as a result and if selling, price to similarly graded raw copies. If it is actual restoration, take the selling values of VG range raws and expect 50-75% of what they sell for.

    I will go 4.0/4.5. I think that long crease keeps it from 5.0 or better. A press seemingly would make this look sharp and might ensure the highest grade possible.

    First round, my grades channeled Lil Jon and they "got, low".....way too low. This round, I channeled Creed ("can you take me hiiiiiggggheer") with my grades. I feel unfortunate that these were the musical references that came to mind but it is what it is.

    Also while I am sure that Xmen 1 will get a bump when the MCU introduces mutants i think the bigger bump would go to FF5 when Doom comes around. I also think that the bigger X bump Happens to GSX 1.

    I’ll come out and say the cover of Xmen 1 is horrendous. I love the cover of FF5. I’m also not a big magneto or Xmen person so for me the only point to owning an Xmen 1 would be to sell it for somethings I would like more….like FF5 or more likely anything Spidey related

    Ah ha! My memory was right. I must have had a copy and sold it because mine was VG and the one I have now is sharp so I must have upgraded and sold the error. Oh well

    Haha figured you would have seen in your quests! And no miscut (it’s on my photo ledge so bottom lip cuts of the bottom bit of comic when I set it on the ledge.

    I swear I had another…it was 185 I was thinking, the graduation issue with yellow background but I was confusing with 187. But my 185 is fine so maybe it’s just the above or maybe it’s on another book….

    I don’t think it’s that one I wanna say it’s the one with yellow background and multiple images of him leapin? 187? Memory failing me And I agree calling it an error on the label vs variant makes more sense. It does seem certain high value books get love and one like the ASM 194 might get such description some day because it’s already a key book.

    I am curious how CGC makes such a determination though. Is it simply enough people asking or knowing? I could care less personally but people within the community do (or are trying to make it a thing anyways) How come the TMNT 3 error print is noted? Simply because it was well known leading up to the ‘85 con?
