  1. Easy 3.0-3.5 considering it’s golden age and even with some small pieces missing.
  2. Scratch that he dropped his price to $50....what a deal...
  3. Considering my local classifieds are littered with postings for 90s comics at prices ranging from $10-30 a piece I’d say everyone is thinking they have something of value. Seriously a guy here has been trying to sell 5 coverless random 80s comics for $70 for forever! Coverless! The best book is a coverless Avengers 233!!
  4. At least ha got 1 and 14. Also the last issue is great and I’ve always had a fondness for issue 2. I dig that purpley background on it similarly seen on Captain Marvel 4 from the same timeframe
  5. Is Mephisto really that hard to work in though? Either way, whether he appears or not, I think that book is one of best late Silver Age comics. Great villain, great cover, and I always enjoyed that Silver Surfer run of not for the artwork at least. Sadly I never picked up a copy when it was reasonably priced and now it’s in the realm of expensive....but I have my hopes that a collection I buy will contain one someday:)
  6. Maybe I just have a bad memory or maybe it’s because this is the first major show linked to the MCU but I can’t remember the last time people were speculating so rampantly on a show/film. Usually you see 1-3 books that “get hot” but it seems like this show has spawned at least 10 books to get a significant price jump. I also am starting to worry that the last episode may not leave us as satisfied as we would like. Cliffhanger and many unanswered questions are something I don’t want. I want some resolution and some answers....but you can leave enough mystery or intrigue to keep me excited to Dr Strange.
  7. Interesting. Oversight or intentional? I do love the way this show makes ya think. Some stuff is Easter eggs, some is meant to throw us off and heck some is probably connections they never would have dreamt fans would make!
  8. Well and that was the legit bid baddie. I dunno if we will get that here at all. Think Malekith level villain in terms of yes they will pose a problem (and likely be better received than Malekith) but in the grand scheme of things I have a feeling a lot of the books selling because of the show will have been wasted money at $50-100 a book
  9. Also I see lotsa people trying to make sense of the whole Ellis Abe and Rolling Hill street signs (and to be fair we saw them for a while) but I want to go back to see if Agnes license plate made any sense to anything
  10. All I really know is that this series has caused a bunch of comics to spike...first Grim Reaper, first Agatha Harkness, young avengers related books, first Chthon, Silver Surfer 3. I will not be surprised if all but one (or even all) of those books get forgotten about in one months time once the truth is revealed.
  11. I do think Mephisto is the next MCU villain but I think this series may only give us him talking or in the shadows or something. We will find out people were doing things for him but either fail or require him to step in at some point in a future film.
  12. To me, Pietro, Herb and Agnes are either 1) The bad guys 2) Working for the bad guys and also bad 3) Working for the bad guys against their will 4) Working with/for Hayward (low on my theory list)
  13. I do. Earlier she stopped Herb from telling Vision what was happening (end of episode 3 was it?) Now did she do that out of fear? Maybe. Maybe this was also her trying to escape but she kind of got stuck? I think she was there to make sure Vision went further and stepped out. I think she acted. Her and herb are more. And a couple other characters who are either in on the whole thing or have agendas all their own
  14. I feel like Pietro and Agnes were purposefully distracting Wanda so Vision could explore. Pietro took care of Wanda and Agnes appeared at the perimeter to kind of ensure Vision took a step outside (almost as if she and Pietro wanted him outta the picture now) The who is obviously the big part. Mephisto seems too big at this point to truly be behind it. Maybe he’s a longer term project and two cronies are working for him in this show which seems to make more sense now. Who those cronies are will be interesting to see!
  15. But I’m Canadian and I still prefer the US versions....have I been Muricanized?!
  16. I mean, 8.0 would be where I am at personally. Plus I love a good date stamp. My concerns are the spine and bottom left which to me, keep it lower than 9.0 and to be safe, I call it 8.0. I think a clean would help the back for sure. If the price is right, I would go for it. But the price has to be right. I don't see worse than a 7.5 and even that seems harsh.
  17. Sign up is $299.99 per week. It's a prescription model, meaning a doctor will make you pay it.
  18. But no this thread is done...a new one will take over...or maybe another bulk batch doesn't please someone soon. Until then, we can resume our abnormal activities.
  19. Yup. And I only charge 50 cents to grade cards by phone
  20. I am intrigued by this. Will it come back blue with the defect of cut pages (appears that way to me, because of jaggedness of edges that someone cut it at some point) or will it come back purple? It shouldn't be purple because it does not appear that was done with the attempt to restore the condition of the book.... I am also at 3.5-4.0. If the cuts were not there on those pages, I could see 4.5-5.0 on it
  21. I charge $1 to grade your books. I will call you and, once you estransfer me $1, I will look at pictures on my phone of your book, yell a grade at you and then hang up. You can record the grade for playback purposes when trying to sell.
