  1. well ignoring the tear for the moment, it looks like it's in 4.5-5.0 shape with the spine dings, corner creases, back cover foxing How much to take off for that tear? I'm totally guessing here but maybe a full point.
  2. nice - post some pics when the action gets going.
  3. Csaag Grades Comics Now you know why there's so much inconsistency in your grades....
  4. I almost peed myself during that dolphin rescue scene - then they topped themselves with the baby. Great show.
  5. After seeing multiple ads for this, it looked to me that they're pushing Elizabeth Moss not McCarthy. With The Handmaid Tale currently out, I can understand that. It's the 1st thing my wife noticed about the ads.
  6. Swamp Thing annual #2 by Moore. Swampy descends into Hell to retrieve Abby's soul. Demon, Phantom Stranger, Spectre and Totleben's art
  7. Hmm a group that sits there and does nothing vs a group that could work for the WWE the way they job all the time. I'll go Watchers. Secret Wars vs Crisis On Infinite Earth
  8. Bottom front left corner looks like a couple of small tics, non color breaking since they're white. Poss a press could help that depending on how damage the fibers are. Maybe a dry clean would help.
  9. I think that upper left corner would prob benefit from a press. Anything more than that I cant say. I'd suggest asking joeypost.
  10. Csaag is just the first letter of the first name of everyone in the family. Sat at at the keyboard several years ago trying to come up with a login name for Yahoo. Switched my avatar from the basic silouett when the Godzilla movie was getting PR. Big 'zilla fan from my younger days watching him on Sat mornings creature feature.
  11. pics get fuzzy when I enlarge it. But it looks sharp & clean 8.5-9.0 Better pics or scan would help
  12. as far as I can tell from those 2 pics, there's that indent on the URC, the miswrap, looks like a small bend of sorts on the right edge across from the N if Dragon and to the right of the 25 cents circle there's seems to be a slight diff in color - I'm not sure if that;'s a shadow or something else (or my imagination) Looks very clean with good corners I'll guess a 9.4 - hopefully the interior looks as good as the cover
  13. First thing that I thought was 6.5-7.0
  14. well you indicated you paid for an elite membership already. One thing to consider with a 3rd party presser is that you wouldn't want them to directly submit the books to CGC as I don't believe you can use the credit you are getting from CGC. So that would add an extra layer of shipping costs. Once the credit is exhausted then you could let them ship the books to CGC (if you went that route)
  15. Being a fan of Starlin when I first started collecting, I would snap up any back issues I could find with his work. Thanks
  16. OK in 2054 I wanna know what u sold it for, but use a really big font...
  17. I'd be at 8 if everything was as good as the front cover. I think all that staining would knock it down below 7.5 but I always find it hard to figure out by how much. So I'd guess 6.5-7.0
  18. Believe me, I'm as far from an expert as u can get. Around 4 could mean lower. But the cover isn't torn up or missing pieces. Back is really dirty. Maybe a quality press/dry clean would help but at this grade level it prob isn't worth it for that plus SS service, shipping etc. Still, cool to have an Adams sig on such a book if u were to get it - even if u don't submit it
  19. I'm trying to not binge. I wanna be able to have some anticipation build and not try to find something new in a couple of days. Helps to have a few shows to cycle thru . Loved the 2nd episode, better than the opener. (Regarding MMM - the Catskills was some of the funniest TV ever )
  20. with the cover creases and dimples, rusted staples and all that soiling on the back cover, I'd guess around 4.0
  21. I like those cable/internet commercials with the turtles - so I'll say Economy slow track cooler pet: puppy Krypto vs baby teenage mutant ninja turtle
  22. goCollect has the last sale at April of last year . You'd have to find a tool (eg Watchcount) which may report data over that time span and then try to extrapolate downwards to match the condition (which obviously is very poor) Though past sales are no guarantee of a future sales price. If someone wants it bad enough they will pay regardless. If not, you could always read it. Cool cover.
  23. wow - you could almost submit that board to CGC for a grade.
