PGM Green Lantern #59(Added Staples)
csaag replied to billbrown7080's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I'd call it a 5.0 Sorry - no idea what the extra staples due to it -
hold on - I never checked the bottom ......yup one there also None of the slabs in either boxed appeared damaged in the least to me I did have a single book come back that was wrapped in some heavy bubble wrap in a basic box. That too was OK

Just had 2 shipments of 9-10books come back. Here is a what is looked like There was also a top piece same thickness as on the sides.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 did a great episode to this. I still remember the Jet Jaguar parody song they did Anyway, the movie got the monsters right. The darkness didn't bother be (nor in the GoT Winterfell battle) The humans on the other hand.... I thought Vera Farminga's character/plot was dumb I agree that the middle section slows down. I enjoyed the elements of the old school music woven in. One of the opening scenes had an overview of a protestor march. I caught one Easter Egg on a sign. I'm sure there were others if you could freeze frame it. End credits have a few tidbits in it to pay attention to. Glad I saw it. I'll have to go watch Shin Godzilla next Long live Godzilla!!!! JUST GET IT 100% F$#%@ing RIGHT NEXT TIME!!!!!!!!!

one more then I'll wait and let others play! I think Cosmic Franky is just crazy enough to pull it off after a battle filled with great insults The Sinestro Corps team of Sinestro / Superboy Prime / Anti Monitor / Cyborg Superman/ Parallax vs The God Squad (last incarnation I remember) Hercules / Sersi / Hellstrom/ Thor/ Silver Surfer / Galactus /Panther God

that's a good one. All depends on what powers Resso Man comes back with from the last time he died. He had a short lived series back in the beginning of the New 52 and his powers weren't anything special from what I recall. Plus he kept getting killed, so I'll go with Deadpool Swamp Thing vs Man Thing

obviously can't give a realistic grade cause who knows what damage may be on interior or back cover but assuming the front is a representation of the whole book, I'd guess 4.5-5.0 range

PGM Ms. Marvel 12....Double Trouble!
csaag replied to comicginger1789's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
shame the front cover doesn't look as goos as the 2nd cover! I think 8.5 is a good grade. -
PGM wartime romances 13 Matt Baker art
csaag replied to thewritestuff's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
also think it's a bit better than a 4.0 so I'm good at 4.5 -
Please grade my Authentic Police 29 Matt Baker
csaag replied to thewritestuff's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Front looks in better shape than the back. I'm around 6.5 -
Grade is in - Please grade my brother's hulk 181
csaag replied to eddly's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
see a few spine issues. Not sure what that is at top of back cover. I'd also guess around 8.0-8.5 from what I can see and agree a press would help -
Conan #1 in Voldemort Slab
csaag replied to jugglingjurist's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
certainly looks in good shape from what I can tell but can't make out enough details with the glare/reflection. Around 8.5-9.0 as a wild guess? -
Please grade this Strange Worlds #8!
csaag replied to Point Five's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
with the wear all around the edges and the back cover foxing/tanning/etc I'll guess a 4.0 Nice book! -
how do I properly store a new booklet?
csaag replied to the_blink's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Don't forget about the environment where you store them - i.e sunlight/humidity -
Watchcount is a good site to track eBay sales and also lets you see actual accepted bids when it's less than the original offer price

Yup, I sent a batch to joeypost. He let me know my X-Men 94 had some slight color touch and it would damage to the book too much to try and remove it. At least I bought it approx 35 years ago so it still leaves me ahead of the game.

How many other TV shows and movies had dedicated people who went thru large efforts to bring something to life? GoT cast/crew didn't do anything that plenty of others haven't done. For that matter, how many people in business go thru the same thing? When ur in the business of ultimately providing something for others, there is only one rule - "the customer is always right" So when a sizeable portion of ur 'customer base' expresses disappointment with an aspect of your product ( in this case the writing), ur foolish not to listen. Since the show is over they don't have to care and can have tone deaf responses.
