Anyone have a good way of shipping a lot of books?
What if you want to ship 50 books to someone?
How would you secure that?
Thanks.
you can make multiple bricks - say split it into 4 or 5 bricks

Top right corner isn't stain just the plastic cover from sticker
for the PGM forum, try to take pics with the comic out of the bag. If you have a scanner, that's even better for front/back cover

For me, the best What If stories in the comics are the tragic ones, where they end up killing everyone, destroying the universe, etc. They are little morality plays, which show how it is important to accept the world as it is, instead of dwelling on how it could be if we'd made different choices.
Pretty much what I thought.
I enjoyed it but that easily could've been a Steve Rogers Captain America story. I prefer the stories where "What If" makes a difference in some meaningful way, not just a shuffling of characters.

What is the purpose of the hybrid release, though? You guessed it; Bring in funds via Disney+ subscriptions & streaming fees. Which, if you're under contract to receive a payout based on theatrical performance, seems like circumventing the contract to reap rewards with limited financial distributions.
bringing in funds & subscriptions to Disney+ also helps the stock price which curr reacts strongly to Disney+ subscriber info. Dot he executives who make decisions about how to release movies have some type of bonus tied to the stock price?

I have a question regarding values and what to put on the form when you are submitting a comic for grading to CGC.
What value should I go with? For example, I have an Amazing Spiderman 238. According to Overstreet, the value of the comic (without the tatooz) at Very Fine is $34.00. On ebay, copies with the tatooz ranges from $300 to 500. What value what I submit with? The $34 which would qualify for Modern pricing or $500 which would quality for Standard pricing.
Am I overthinking this?
well does your copy have Tatooz?
There is also a diff between slabbed prices vs raw prices when determining FMV

3) you should try to group your books by submission tier level. Cgc will take whatever you send them and separate them into orders based on the submission tier level. Each tier gets mailed back to you separately.

It’s been almost 2 weeks since my books were delivered to CGC and still have yet to be entered into the system and marked received. How long does that usually take nowadays? Thanks in advance
I've seen a lot of posts where it can take up to a month

I'm not adverse to paying taxes. My biggest concern is how to prove the price that I paid for a book to the IRS.
Not only should the buyer hold onto any receipts, cancelled check etc, but the seller should remember that if the IRS audits a buyer and he shows them proof of purchase, they may decide to check if the seller declared the proceeds,(receipts could show the sellers name, email addr etc)

Or perhaps have a digital bar code or QR code that gets generated as a label with the invoice that people can print and put on the outside of the package that can be easily scanned without opening the box to determine if contents contain express or WT. just seems a better way has to exist.
Hopefully the geniuses at Blackstone can implement something as full of common sense as this idea.

I think "The Raid:Redemption" was the perfect action flick (too good to just call a martial arts action flick)
They should've added another 10 stories to that building so the movie could go on another couple of hours

You should look at raws close to the condition of yours. A stabbed comic will sell higher but this will give u a base to apply a multiple to

I always thought "Toy Story" was a 'perfect film'. Maybe movies about bringing adults back to their childhood are easier to pull off since it seems it's something we're so willing to indulge ourselves in. I thought it was a movie that worked on all levels. The CGI needs to be held to the era - they certainly didn't do human faces all that well but it didn't take me out of the story and maybe they realized it as they weren't shown all that much

Hello,
Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, but I’m wondering what the best service to use is when shipping comics with semi high value ($500+)
UPS? USPS priority? Priority express?
is there an agreed upon best way to ship out comics that you want to make sure are delivered that will also protect yourself as a seller if the customer tries something shady?
Thanks in advance
CGC uses USPS Registered Mail (if you select USPS) which requires the package to get logged in every step of the way. It does take longer due to that With Covid, I don't know how reliable getting a signature upon delivery is though

ususal advice is to figure out replacement value for the books should something happen to them while CGC has them
You could try to find raw sales for books in comparable shape on eBay or try a site like comicpriceguide.com or the Overstreet guide
If you pick a tier that doesn't reflect the ultimate FMV, CGC may bump the book up to what they think is the proper tier
