New mystery box coming on April 4th. Have you guys ever done that before? I feel like I have the worst luck when it comes to any games of chance so I might pass on it.
Got mine in today. Pretty much a dud IMO.

Alright, I just grabbed a copy of this on eBay to complete my set. Question is now, what do I do with this ungraded book? Looks pristine, but the signature can't be verified on this beauty, can it? If I can't get that yellow label I'm not sure it's worth it. What say you, community?
Only way to get it verified is a red label from Voldemort. Otherwise you'd get a qualified (green) label from CGC.

Couple of Peach Momoko's I picked up recently. I'm really digging her style.

Here's his Venom 25 cover:

I've done a couple of them. I've gotten some good books and some total duds. The good thing is that you can usually sell off the ones you don't want and make your money back anyway.

Wait, so we are 8 years with a dead parker? I missed the entire superior thing. And still have not picked them up.
I do think I got the asm 1 reboot. but seeing as I haven't read it, can't remember.
Parker isn't dead now. His death came in ASM 700, which was released at the end of 2012. Superior Spider-man picked up from there and ran for 31 issues before Peter came back. ASM picked back up with Vol. 3 and has been going with Peter ever since.
I really liked the Superior run. I think it was pretty controversial/hated at the time, but I didn't pick it up until a couple of years ago when I started reading and collecting again.

Peter died back in 2012. It was actually a pretty good story and led into Superior Spider-Man. The Amazing Spider-Man series is back, though, and I think it's pretty good.
I haven't been keeping up with the main Batman series, but DC has been putting out comics under their Black Label that have been solid. Curse of the White Knight is still going right now and it's worth the read. Same with Batman's Grave. Last Knight on Earth was only 3 issues in 2019 but it was great.

One of the con exclusives that was being released online. Supposedly a 1K print run.
There are more exclusives coming out every week. Wish he would do them all at once so I can save on shipping!I went to buy that one last week and accidentally bought cover A again instead. Was so mad because I used the discount code and couldn't use it again and felt like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person. Ended up passing on it, because I couldn't justify another purchase and another shipping charge.

Diamond announced no more shipments after this week, so no new comics starting in April.
Full announcement here.

sounds very timley
Yeah I hadn't thought about that until this thread. There are huge differences though - the Clock is about a cancer, not a virus, and so far it appears to be manufactured and weaponized.
-
Image has a new series called "The Clock" that is about fighting a global pandemic conspiracy. They're only 2 issues in right now but so far I like it.
-
The sets are still available on his website. Kinda surprised they haven't sold out yet, as there are only 1500 copies of covers C and D. Is it the book itself? Maybe demand for his books really is starting to go down in general?

That Catwoman is old art from 2016.

Is that a bad thing? Genuinely asking because I've seen that comment made elsewhere (maybe on reddit?) and wasn't sure why it mattered.

Here's winter. IMO the best of the four.

I do like the Fall/Halloween one he just posted. I have really liked the majority of his Black Cat solo comic covers as well.

I normally like a good JSC cover but these are Bbbooorrrriiiinnnngggg!
Black Widow is just bad IMO, but like ExNihilo I'm a sucker for Gwen & MJ.

So apparently he's doing four covers for the four seasons. That one is spring, here's summer:

Hold up - twenty five grand and they can't throw in free shipping?!?
Edit: Oh and IF insurance is wanted buyer pays for that too?
-
Thought for sure I had a 9.6, but was pleasantly surprised when I got this back from CGC last year. Pretty sure I only paid $5 for it.

Just got my first ever commission in today. I grew up with Bagley's Spider-man in the early 90s and since then he's always been my favorite artist. All I asked for was Spidey and Venom - everything else was up to him. I'm ecstatic with what I got:

This was posted on a Facebook group I visit. The Stan Lee is witnessed, but does that Jack Kirby look less than legit? Was he around for the milestone books?
He died a few years after the book came out, so it is possible that it's his signature. No clue if it actually is, though.

Picked this one up today. I've got it at an 8.5 right now, but I think a clean and press could get it up to 9.4.

2 of them are ASM variants, so I can probably offload them pretty easily:
Also got an Amazing Mary Jane that I already had:
The most disappointing ones for me were these two:
I actually love the Black Cat cover, but it's just the retail cover with a signature on it. The Phoenix Resurrection is a duplicate from the last mystery box I did, with the signature appearing in just a slightly different place.
This is the only one I received that I didn't already own:
Not a book I normally collect but I'll hold onto it for now. So if I can at least average $20 each for the other books I can break even on the whole thing.
