I guess I’m just wondering if graded comics, outside of this community are appreciated? It seems in Facebook groups every issue is a 9.8 that they own 😆

If I were for Example to post this image..A77FDB85-D263-4D25-A9E0-478FDABA825F.jpeg.49c66a33d9d9844aa200a55c8d8fd781.jpeg

I would get some likes, and comments praising the collection, and others how they have that set in better/ perfect condition. Waste of money, how do you read them, and some telling other members that liked it, that it would only cost $100 Or less to have one like it or better. 😆

Then this image of a reprinted tpb would be posted soon after.. and get more likes ...E8080A56-F363-4E16-98F6-A84C356EE76C.jpeg.45b759cab04c9b07f9dd0e0f09a44e12.jpeg

Just wondering if the outside of the community world cares about grading, or single issues anymore? As everything is available in digital format, reprints, and TPB (shrug)

Are the days of knowing how to grade, and condition.. Heck even owning individual issues, turning not important these days?

Just wondering if we’re a smaller group than I thought is all.  ??? :tonofbricks:

It could also be that the image you posted is way too busy and also too hard to see the art on the comics themselves. I'm not one for liking things on Facebook, but between the two if I had to give out a single like it would be the tpb image.

There's a reason why Apple approved Season Two early on before Season One was even over.

I very much enjoyed it. Though the concept of a blind world brings its own suspension of disbelief how they all would get around and live their lives without falling off a cliff. But it works.

To be fair, Apple renewed all of their launch shows before any of them even aired. That doesn't really say much about See on its own.

I may check out an episode or two to see if it clicks for me.

  3. I'm a bit confused with this auction for ASM Renew Your Vows 1. When I first saw it I thought I'd keep an eye on it to see if I could get a deal on a 9.6, since the last couple of universal 9.6s went for around $100. But it's already over $200. So I looked up the last SS 9.6, and it ended at about $250, and the one before that ended at $384! Since when did Campbell's signature command that much more than a non-signed book? Especially for a 9.6?

its the same thing with the Instagram comic raffles.. the winner is always a friend of theirs so the comic doesn't really go anywhere.. and gets to stay in their collection or they sell it off to someone else... and your out your 20$ or 50$

The very first raffle I entered on Instagram I won a CGC 3.5 ASM 50. $10 for a ~$250 comic ain't too shabby. I think you just need to make sure it's a reputable account.

Granted I've entered a couple more since with no luck. I think I used up all my luck at the start.

Yes.  Look it cant get a 0.5 because books with missing pages and half torn covers get 0.5.  It cant get a 1.0 or 1.5 because those grades are for books that have no eye appeal whatsoever.  This book has a lot of eye appeal.  So it's either a 1.8 or a 2.0.  That much eye appeal on a good girl book I went 2.0

See that I don't agree with in principle, because does that mean every page could be torn but a solid cover make up for it? I was back and forth between a 1.0 and 1.5, and the brittle pages put me on 1.0.

I mean I get that CGC graded it at 2.0, and I understand your thought process on it. I guess I'm just harsher on those flaws then they are.
