Allegedly to reasonably "write him out" of the MCU.
I'd rather they kill him off and re-cast a new Spider-Man for the Sonyverse than to use the same actor as in the MCU.
Any source for that? I've heard only that Sony isn't motivated to do a long-term deal.

Comicbookdb.com has the first appearance of kindred in ASM #4 2018. FYI, just what they say.
Kindred doesn't actually appear in 4, at least not visually. The first time we actually see the character is in 5. There are some speech bubbles in 4 that are from him, but we don't find that out until 5.

Me upon hearing the news:

Last one (for now):

This one apparently encompasses the late 90s and early 00s, so I'm guessing the last one will be today's MJ.

Okay this one I'm a fan of.

There should be a betting site for over/unders on total JSC covers for future #1 issues. Like for Amazing MJ #1 you figure 5+ JSC exclusives, at least 2 for normal marvel (1 variant, 1 sketch variant), at least 1 more between reprints, secret incentive variant, or possible con-exclusives.
I'd set the line at O/U 7.5, with the terms that betting closes exactly 2 months before normal book release and the last cover must be released 3 months after. Obviously your odds are -110 because the house has to get a taste.
Do virgin covers count? Because I'm guessing each decade variant for AMJ1 will have a virgin version, so that's 10 minimum right there.

Sleeper is just hot at the moment. It's possible that it becomes something, but it's a gamble (and my guess is probably not a good one). UF4 is the obvious answer here, but get it out of that polybag!

I thought CGC was harsher on staining - had it at a 3.5. A 6.0 is insane to me.
Hell if that's a 6.0 both of the round 3 books should be 9.8s.

Proof they Emmys are about who you know, who you pay off, and self aggrandizing as opposed to quality. No way this deserved to award for Best Drama. Just more proof the critics and Hollywood are becoming completely disconnected from their consumers.
When was it ever different? They're industry awards chosen from inside the industry, same with every other awards show. It's why Jethro Tull won best metal album Grammy over Metallica, or why Forrest Gump won the best picture Oscar over Shawshank Redemption or Pulp Fiction.

yeah I think it was a gift to win for that one award. They had a ton of nominations though. Dinklage was great in the show he definitely deserved to win.
I would've given it to Alfie Allen this year, but I'm not mad about Dinklage winning.

honestly, this wasn't really that easy because i did a lot of debating on whether there were qualified grades allowed...then i realized that even if that book got a green label, it still would have been a 0.5.
but the internal back-and-forth prior to that was roiling, I'mma tell you whut
I did pour over the rules to see if qualified grades were allowed. That was the only thing that gave me pause about the first book.
And no big deal, but first place feels nice.

Just so we're clear, everyone is freaking out about this cat, right?
Yeah this bubble is definitely going to burst.

Not taking away from any individual wins but there must have been a lot of crappy TV this year for GoT to win best drama.
It was parting gift, not really a reflection of the last season. That's why they didn't win anything else outside of Dinklage for acting.
I was very happy to learn Dumb and Dumber didn't win for best writing.

Those tears are fairly common on ASM238 when the Tattooz have been removed. If you haven't already sent it in I would check for those - because if they're missing you'll get a green label instead of the blue, and the value will drop significantly.

Anyone pick it up this week? I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely didn't expect
SpoilerMJ to die. I knew that Ben Parker was going to be a part of it, but I assumed it was Peter that was going to die.
They've got me intrigued with the first issue, looking forward to the next.

it's an extra $5 for the label....
i've heard that if it is some special labels and some not that they ship them seperately....
not sure of any additional costs....edit i suppose that means additional shipping costs
Yeah that's what I was getting at - it's not just $5 unless your submission only contains that label.
-
It's much better than the previous Spidey label at least. Don't you also have to pay a separate invoice fee if your submission has some with the custom label and some without? Or did I make that up?
