There should be a betting site for over/unders on total JSC covers for future #1 issues.  Like for Amazing MJ #1 you figure 5+ JSC exclusives, at least 2 for normal marvel (1 variant, 1 sketch variant), at least 1 more between reprints, secret incentive variant, or possible con-exclusives.

I'd set the line at O/U 7.5, with the terms that betting closes exactly 2 months before normal book release and the last cover must be released 3 months after.  Obviously your odds are -110 because the house has to get a taste.

Do virgin covers count? Because I'm guessing each decade variant for AMJ1 will have a virgin version, so that's 10 minimum right there.

Proof they Emmys are about who you know, who you pay off, and self aggrandizing as opposed to quality.  No way this deserved to award for Best Drama.  Just more proof the critics and Hollywood are becoming completely disconnected from their consumers.

When was it ever different? They're industry awards chosen from inside the industry, same with every other awards show. It's why Jethro Tull won best metal album Grammy over Metallica, or why Forrest Gump won the best picture Oscar over Shawshank Redemption or Pulp Fiction.

honestly, this wasn't really that easy because i did a lot of debating on whether there were qualified grades allowed...then i realized that even if that book got a green label, it still would have been a 0.5.

but the internal back-and-forth prior to that was roiling, I'mma tell you whut

I did pour over the rules to see if qualified grades were allowed. That was the only thing that gave me pause about the first book.

And no big deal, but first place feels nice.

Not taking away from any individual wins but there must have been a lot of crappy TV this year for GoT to win best drama.

It was parting gift, not really a reflection of the last season. That's why they didn't win anything else outside of Dinklage for acting.

I was very happy to learn Dumb and Dumber didn't win for best writing.

  5. Anyone pick it up this week? I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely didn't expect

    Spoiler

MJ to die. I knew that Ben Parker was going to be a part of it, but I assumed it was Peter that was going to die.

They've got me intrigued with the first issue, looking forward to the next.

it's an extra $5 for the label....

i've heard that if it is some special labels and some not that they ship them seperately....

not sure of any additional costs....edit i suppose that means additional shipping costs

Yeah that's what I was getting at - it's not just $5 unless your submission only contains that label.
