Once again, very nice books. I like the color combination on the 11 a lot. These early Tales of the Unexpected are tough to find in high grade.

This is my first post. I don't have too many Timely's but this is my favourite.
A great way to start. Welcome to the boards.

I love this book and have not been able to find a nice copy. Yours is gorgeous.

Just got this back from CGC. I'm really happy with the page quality on this one...
Such a cool, classic cover! Very nice book.

Here's a recent purchase:
That's probably my favorite cover of the run. Beautiful!!

Hooray for me!
That cover always stood out in the run for me too. Very nice book!

Just picked these two up yesterday. Two great covers in one day...I'd like to have more days like that!
The first, Marvel Family #77, is one that's been on my wantlist for a long time due to the classic gruesome communist claw cover. I was thrilled to stumble upon this very nice mid-grade copy with bright colors and nice pages.
The second book is Spy Smasher #6. I never paid much attention to this title in the past, but when I saw this awesome Raboy cover with the iconic image of Spy Smasher looming over it I just had to have it.
Great books. I love the Marvel Family. Much nicer than my copy.
Those are both cool books. The Marvel Family is on my want list. Nice pick-ups.

I love this cover. Gorgeous copy too.

Thanks. I don't have very many pre-horror HOM, maily the greytone issues, but I like the colors on this one.

When I initially saw them I suspected Superman and Batman from 50 up would grade high. There were lots with overhangs that CGC didn't encapsulate due to overhang.

You have some really beautiful books. Were there any DC sci-fi titles in the collection?

Awesome run of books. Feel free to post any other years too. Some suggestions:
1950, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 61,.....

In contrast, this shadowy scene is very 1950s...
Love it!

Another Joker cover. This is a classic story, where Batman's arch enemy appears to give up his criminal lifestyle after inheriting a fortune.
"He's got a wad of bills large enough to choke a horse!" exclaims , as he and Bruce find themselves dining at an adjacent table to the Clown Prince...
Cool cover on that one. I wish Gerber would have put out a DC silver age book. Didn't he take all the photos but it never got published?

This simple cover is certainly eye-catching, in terms of its simplicity and rich colors!
Beautiful copy. You have some great books.

Always loved these pink sky covers.

OK, these are not high grade, but there are a lot of them and I promised the friend I bought them from, that I would post a picture here...(after that, I'm going to walk quietly to the Comics Anonymous thread and sign in...)
Awesome get! Thanks for sharing!
What a great batch of books to get! Love the bright colors on the Jumbos.

Here's another example of why I think Raboy is one of the best composition artists.
Ken
Beautiful!!! Although we could appreciate the composition more if you had a nicer copy.
Just kidding!
Sorry, I didn't want to take my nicer copy out of the mylar.

My win from Bill Hughes' auction. Always loved this cover and am very pleased to have this copy. Was CGC 9.4 and freshly cracked.

Got this the other day and posted it in General, but not here. I've been looking for an attractive, reasonably priced copy for quite some time, and this one fits the bill.
Nice eye appeal on that book. I traded a NM- white paged copy of TTA 35 for a copy of that book back in 1995 to Showcase New England. The Action came back from CGC as a 7.0 and I sold it for a big loss a few years ago. Probably the worst comic deal I ever made. Congrats on getting a nice copy!

Here's a few more Wonderworlds, just for the fun of it.
Those Wonderworld comics have some of the greatest cover images. I was at a family gathering and I was showing people those covers and no one cared! Am I alone here with those kind of non-reactions? I mean, I can appreciate what other people collect. Art, guns, coins, toys, etc. but I cannot understand the lack of appreciation by non collectors for some of those truly great cover images. All I ever get are value questions.Drives me mad.
How much is that Wonderworld 7 worth?

Billy , that cover is really cool.
thank you sir, and here are the rest of the cheslers [with her included down toward the bottom].
Now that's impressive! Quite an accomplishment to aquire a set like that. Any pedigrees in there other than the "D" copy?

Here is a comic I've been looking for at a good price with the right eye appeal. Now it's in my collection after all these years
Great book. I tried to win the one in the last Heritage auction but it went sky high. Congratulations.

Finally got a copy of this book in nice shape from Brian at A-1 Comics. A beautiful book! Only need 212 and 215 to complete the Frazetta run.
