  1. I used "report buyer" when I got my feedback removed. Guy wanted a partial refund and said he would leave "appropriate feedback" if I didn't give it to him. I, of course, offered a full refund upon return. He left scathing, utterly untrue feedback that lasted all of 24 hours.
  2. Make sure eBay is aware of the feedback extortion. They will remove the neg! They recently did that for me.
  3. Here is one of my trouble children who just popped up again today. The thing is, he makes reasonable offers. But, I have had so many issues with him returning, canceling, backcharging cards(after shipment!!!), eBay deregistering him and canceling the sale(after shipment!!!). He lives in the Phillipines and uses a reshipper out of Illinois(This is how I spot him when he starts up a new ID). I've talked to him a bunch of times. He's the nicest guy in his messages and some of the sales have actually stuck, he's just trouble. I ban anyone with 0 feedback from either Des Plaines or Arlington Heights Illinois. Aliases: Mike Mandas, Mixali Mantis The IDs he's used so far: jitsrun56, mixmav0, mjerro_30, mjinsert_6, rarepric49, revelatio-18
  4. Thanks for proving my point that some take all of this way too seriously by attempting to destroy my argument point-by-point MONTHS after it was posted. Even though it has become a business for me, I still want my collecting to be fun. Unless CGC is proven to be ripping people off purposely, I still think they can have an important place in the hobby. Maybe what we need to take away from this is that CGC is not the God of comic book grading(which they never should have been looked at that way in the first place). They are mostly accurate, and their grades should boost value, just not as inflated as its been(says a guy who has too many CGC books in his inventory).
  5. Just picked this up. I just like double stuff...
  6. Two watchers on it. One is Cosmic Spidey and #2 is probably the owner of the other 9.8 double cover.
  7. It does not. But there are no signs of damage in and around the staple so I believe it was never inserted(since what kid carefully cuts the insert out just to get to the tattz?). A double error?
  8. Well, I finally found my favorite issue with a double cover and newsstand(as it was when I bought it from my local convenience store in 1983!) SO... that means my 9.8 direct has been moved to my business inventory! Just put it on today!
  9. Ahhh, when Alex Saviuk was trying to stay hip by adding more crosshatching.
  10. Popular book. NO double covers on GPA with plenty of sales records over the past 20+ years. Newsstand...double cover...you can name your price. I've sold lots of double covers. My general rule of thumb for pricing is 2x going value in grade if there are any other double cover sales on GPA in any grade. If it's possibly one of a kind, 3x+ going price in grade. If it's a popular book 4x would be the least I would place it for sale with best offer. So 9.6s go for $400. I would put it up for no less than $1500. My list price for this would probably be $2999 and would take 2000. 9.8 newsstands go for $3000 and there are way more than ONE 9.8 newsstand out there. Just be prepared to wait a while to sell it. Someone out there will want it and have the money(maybe me if it's up long enough). Otherwise put it in your "vault" and cherish it!!! This is an absolutely AWESOME book! Congrats!!!
  11. I texted, and it shipped within a couple of days.
  12. You know, FedEx, USPS and UPS handle BILLIONS of packages a year. Sure, some get lost, mishandled, etc. But if you send multiple packages on the same day to the same address, they will most likely end up there at the same time, maybe one or two a day off...but not WEEKS off from each other... EDIT: Oh and BTW, their packing on my 25 Modern was less than impressive. They were pretty loose in the heavy box, I was lucky to have no damage. I have to wonder what your experience is there with your numerous---er, countless batches of 25.
  13. Have to wonder if this guy is a danger to society. Not all con men are sociopathic killers, but all sociopathic killers are con men. "This guy crossed the line and didn't even blink."
  14. Actually, now that I think about it. He wouldn't be able to resub the cracked out SS copy, but he could send it to that other company and get it put into a verified slab. So he could end up with say a verified 9.8 and turn a qualified 8.5 or something into a CGC SS 9.8. So he would have to have been selling verified slabs as well to show he was doing this...
  15. Not necessarily. They could get a qualified book with a fake sig, then pop out the inner well and put it in the SS case.
  16. My buddy's TMNT 1 2nd Print finally got shipped. He got a 9.4...not bad!
  17. Texted CGC and they told me it's "in the shipping room" and they're "working hard to get it all out".
