I will say the rapid price correction is continuing for X-men 94 through the end of this week.
Yesterday, a 7.0 copy sold for $1750 (congrats again @DocHoppus182)
8.0 sold for $2149
😳
Last month a 7.0 was like $500, this is nuts!

Deathlok, Killraven, The Shroud, Paladin, Dominic Fortune, Man-Thing, Jack of Hearts, White Tiger, all characters that are currently seriously undervalued and whose 1st appearances are still very cheap but whom could see a significant bump as they present interesting potential for TV shows or movies
I haven’t heard of half of those characters, I’m going to have to look them and get to reading! 🙂

Also a good idea to remind new collectors that the reprints are 35 cents and are not always easy to identify.

No, it's not the 35 cent version, which is why I also had to do a double take.
If that’s the case that price is cray cray 😳

Can someone please explain to me why WOLVERINE VOLUME 2 #88 with DEADPOOL on the cover is so hot??
How on earth is a mid 90s comic at 9.8 blue label fetching $500 usd
I believe it’s the first time they fight, for whatever that’s worth.

I couldn't tell you what she was like on the cartoon. But she was on the cartoon, and a lot of people that are grown up now and can afford the book were probably kids when the cartoon came out and probably weren't all that discerning of what a quality character was, and have good memories of her.
I liked Jubilee in the comic, she had a fun relationship with Wolverine

lady store owner took it from my stack as I was still digging through their bins. She said it’s not supposed to be that price and later quoted me $100.
They should give you a finders fee for doing their work for them.

Okay I'm going to be lazy here and not backtrack in this thread and ask you, what do you believe? Is it undervalued or not?
Well I’m not really the right person to ask, I’m not as knowledgeable as you guys. I felt like it was undervalued, at least at last month’s prices. A midgrade 94 was worth about 1/5 of GSX1 in the same grade. When I was a kid in the 80’s 94 was actually worth more, but those were much different times 🤷♂️

Undervalued? I haven't been tracking GS1 or 94 but right now if this listing is about right on ebay, then 94 is hardly undervalued?

Not anymore, that’s what we’ve been talking about lately, the sold prices have seemed to almost double in the last few weeks. Look at the sold prices back in January.
Some people were saying that it makes sense that it’s rising in step with the other big keys (particularly GS1) and that it has been undervalued for a while. Some other posts argued that 94 was not undervalued at that lower price, I was addressing that notion.
I don’t think that one you linked to will sell for 19k, but who knows nowadays. Go collect still has it at 7k. That’s how quickly prices have risen. 😳

The story in GSX1 is bad (relative to X94) or doesn't matter for some reason? We aren't talking about Incredible Hulk 271 (a nearly unreadable book) now being valuable.
What I was trying to say is that new collectors seem much more interested in first appearances than in storylines, where as in the “old days” the fact that Claremont’s story starts here was a much bigger deal than it is in today’s environment.
I like GS1’s story, I wish I had one! At least I have the facsimile 🙂

For those that argue that 94 has NOT been undervalued relative to GS1...
On ebay GS1 7.0 (I use that grade because that’s what I have) is going between 3k and 4k. Go collect has 94 7.0 at $700. I agree that GS1 should be worth more than 94, 2x as much, even 3x, but 5x?? They used to be close to equal, 1/5 the value of GS1 seems reasonably undervalued to me 🤷♂️

I talked to a different employee at my lcs (one of the stores that carry bad idea) and she said their experience hasn’t been positive so far. They are frustrated that their full order wasn’t fulfilled and they haven’t yet been able to get more. She said it’s difficult to try to explain to customers.

I love Claremont, but name me a story arc between 94-107 (Byrne obv showed up on 108) that stands up as an iconic story. I
Phoenix was created in those issues. The stories aren’t as good as the Byrne issues obviously but that’s still significant I think.

And just like that a 6.0 has crossed the 1k barrier and sold for near $1200 today
Whoa, that one’s cover has been written on and it still got that much?! Why the sudden rise I wonder?

I’m 46, and I’ve always wanted it. It’s not just “a new writer,” it’s the beginning of an epic run that ran throughout my childhood in the 80’s🙂. I worry that our hobby has become too obsessed with defining what makes a book “key.”

If I recall, I think back in the day (80's) #94 was bigger then GSX#1 (?)
It was. Of course collectors valued stories more back then. Nowadays it seems first appearances and cover art are all that matter. ☹️

Yes, it is mind boggling. Reminds me of the GSX 1 spike but a little sharper. You'll be glad you held onto your copy....
I bought mine raw for $350 a little over a year ago and then had it graded. I felt bad thinking that I had paid too much for it 🤷♂️. These are strange times.

Holy , I was right but a 7.0 crossed $1000 a week later instead of "next few months" ...A 7.0 just sold for $1250 and a bunch are getting wiped out online... Looks like its starting shoot up similar to GSX1 ...
Wow 😳, for real? Where were they sold? Mine is a 7.0, I thought they were around $500

it probably should, why not? she was a pretty popular character. not sure how popular she is right now. they never knew what to do with her in the movies, but she was big in the cartoons. I feel like Marvel will know how to use her right.
I thought she had a cool relationship with wolverine, I liked how protective she was of him. It might play well in a movie. Plus she will be marketable to Asia which is a big plus for marvel.

Did that sell?! No way! I just noticed it’s from mycomicshop. Here’s the description: Interior is complete. Heavy water damage. Back cover partially stuck to last page. Staple rust. Mold.
Here’s a “2.0” for $265
