Does this feel a little bit like a ploy to get you to pre-order all of their books before you get a chance to read one? Or am I just being cynical?
I still can’t find a 2nd print ☹️

Wow, that cover really pops in black and white!

You can still pre-order issue 3 & 4 at TFAW and maybe some other online stores that participate.
Good call, thanks! I just preordered 2-4 on tfaw. Maybe I can read #1 online somewhere?

So my lcs is one of the 100 stores that have the books. When I went in they were sold out of eniac, of course, but they said they can't get the later printings because they can only order as many as they had the first prints, and they had already sold all of them. Also, it's too late to order the rest of the series. All I could order was the whale one (should I? It looked kind of goofy to me). Does that sound right? If that's true then there is literally no way I can read them. What kind of *$%! backward marketing is that?! Very frustrating, as I actually was interested in reading it.

Any idea what the most recent copy sold for on CL back in May of 2020 as that would most definitely be a big fall from grace when it first sold for $15K in a CC Event Auction back in December of 2016.
Yeah 15k is crazy. That’s not even a key issue is it?

WTF? Why did they grade this? Much like the Sonic advertising insert, I don’t understand why partial books would get any kind of grade.
Seriously, this blows my mind 😳

Remember when the issue where Cap picks up Thor’s hammer was like $75? That was pretty silly

Where do the books they pack in come from? Is there a warehouse with old unsold stock?

Went to a shop today, couldn't believe how many people went to the Joe back issue bin. Kind of hate how this goes down now.

I’m going to miss finding reasonably priced joes. It will happen to Sandman, one of my other favorites, soon. Get them while you can 🙂

GI Joe A Real American Hero 32 1st Lady Jaye.. new solo live-action Amazon series
I just looked at ebay, the buy it now prices are ridiculous.
I haven’t heard of this show, will it tie in with the snake eyes movie?

I love hearing these stories from older collectors, I started in the late 80’s. When did speculating become a thing? Was Alpha Flight the first modern “spec” book?

If there's one thing I've learned regarding the value of first appearances in comics over the last few years, its that characters showing up in movies and television is IRRELEVANT. Not LESS relevant, but IRRELEVANT. If I've seen it once, I've seen it a thousand times, comic characters showing up in movies or tv has no effect on the value of their first appearances.
2015 was a different world...🧐

Wow, I’ve never seen this before. Did they make more of these? Is it magazine size?

I can't get my head around the Previews and adverts collectors/sellers saying these are first appearances. For me, it's like people buying a trailer instead of a full movie.
I was thinking that also. I actually have the phantom menace trailer on film. First appearance of darth maul, should be crazy valuable any minute now 🙄

This confounds me. I can’t even tell the difference usually and 9.8s are consistently double the price. It seems like either 9.8’s are vastly overpriced or 9.6’s are vastly underpriced.
Eniac, how do we feel about this methodology?

I suppose the marketing is working, if it wasn’t for all the controversy and fuss I might have never heard of this book. Now they need to capitalize on the marketing by making them easier to buy...
