  1. Dead of Winter #1 seems to be under ordered. Copies were selling for $10+ on release day on Wednesday. Regular cover seems more popular than variant.
  2. Saw an open box yesterday with the bags still sealed. Just by looking at the bags i could tell the spines were mangled. What a joke.
  3. Any chance you can pick up an extra raw Jean 1D so I can complete my set. Can be signed.
  4. Has this book now lost It's value because of the new virgin variant using the same image? Both are reprints. Different backgrounds. The new one has 1000 print run vs 499. http://www.recalledcomics.com/SupermanBatman4GermanVariant.php http://www.aspenstore.com/Superman-Batman-8-Aspen-Turner-SDCC-Variant-Set-of-3_p_2743.html
  5. I think It's a good idea (I was all over those Gen 13 Boxes in the 90's). It's just poorly executed. 1. Poor selection of titles. Only Walking Dead is in demand. 2. None of the Hot artists involved. If they got McFarlane, Silvestri, etc to do a few sketches there would be much more demand. 3. Poorly manufactured. Image knows these are for collectors so they should be high grade. Polybagging books always hurts the grades because of the process involved.
  6. Wow those look terrible. Was just about to grab a box on eBay but not if all the books are twisted and mangled wrecks.
  7. Great news. You should share his details so people can avoid this scum.
  8. I guess you were kicked out unless you give me your full name and i can check.
  9. Very cool! I love the promo's, oddities and giveaways too. At one point like you I planned to collect every Spidey but It proved impossible, especially in high grade so I just toned it down but still enjoy the hunt. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Here is the story behind the #262 cover. Layton even drew an alternate cover (which is so much better) just in case the photo cover didn't work. http://www.cbr.com/spider-man-marvel-movie-cannon-films-scott-leva/
  11. Might be worth scamming you to get you over here
  12. Lots of great interviews with Stan and Joan at home in "With Great Power The Stan Lee Story". In one scene his wife is talking about their daughter who sadly passed away after 3 days and you can see him in the background almost out of camera shot tearing up as she talks about it. It's a really moving and genuine scene. Can't imagine how he must be feeling today. RIP.
  13. Make sure you screenshot all the evidence incase it gets deleted.
  14. If it was sent International SIGNED for then they haven't? Surely it's their responsibility to get the signature from USPS on your behalf as they have your money. Yes they are slow but I've never had a problem claiming, though never for this much. Getting on Paypal's case is of course your first course of action. Really hoping it works out.
  15. Sorry to hear. You need to call them up and explain the situation to them calmly. I've heard of them reversing stupid decisions like this. Also get on Royal Mail (?) as signature should have come with the tracking to the US.
  16. There is a really good interview with them both on "With Great Power The Stan Lee Story"
  17. In Venom 150 they included a cover gallery showing all the issues. I'm sure they will do the same again. It is very messy. If only they never started messing around with numbering in the mid 90's. Hopefully this is the last time.
  18. Easiest way to get round the bots is to upload an image with your email address. Came up with it myself and never had a problem.
  19. My worry wouldn't be the choice of reading material but how they would handle said books.
