  1. This film is definitely showing how stats compilated the way Rotten Tomatoes does definitely gives mediocre films and edge. I have yet to read any review stating that this film is amazing, most are saying it's fine. it's another marvel film, not bad at all but not amazing. And that's all you ned when your stat is based on a binary comment. 80% of people have clamed the film to be ok (or "not bad" or "good" or "fine" ect), so the film gets 80% even though the average grade given would be about 60-65%.

I'll be in love if it's truly as horrific as some are suggesting. Doubt that it's "not for children" at PG-13, though.

I love fusing the comic book genre with horror. Probably my two favorite movie genres.

From what I heard it isn't scary at all. Young kids have been at showings and there have been no reports of parents having to exit (unlike with films like Batman Returns).

  2. Finale was pretty good, but I got so P O'd when they dared to that blackout thing again. It's the big finale, everyone is at their darkest moment even with Super Powers and we aren't even given a look at the Deus Ex Machina that solves everything. It's your finale, now is when you freaken show it!!!!! So yeah, I was not happy, especially since it's something they kept teasing. But at least we get that mid credit scene that tries making up for it. It does make the show end on a high rather than a low, and it calmed me down for some reason. The finale was fine aside from that deus ex blackout.

Just finished the last episode. The ending was…not terribly satisfying but I’m fine with it. The body of work on this show was tremendous from start to (almost) finish.

There's been far worse endings (Dexter, Lost) so I was fine with this too. All the loose ends I cared about were wrapped up ok.

Thanks everyone for their comments! Yes I know that particular one does not have monetary value but I was asking in general. Given a small wrinkle can seem to reduce the grade by 0.5 or more, I was thinking that that obtrusive writing would have an even worse impact.

They all have impact. If the book was perfect and it only had that writing on the cover, you'd see the impact it had. But the idea here is that you look at what is allowed in the grade range. You have a length wide crease, that brings it down to a 4.0. Is the price written on the cover allowed at a 4.0? Yes, so it stays 4.0. If your tear your cover in half, then that becomes the biggest issue, bringing the book down to a far lower grade, and at that point the length wide crease no longer matters.

  6. Came here since I know @Buzzetta would be all over this season. And while it is FREAKEN INTENSE there is a bit that just flies over my head. I get the cartel dynamics, I get the FBI deal, I get the laundering schemes, I get how Ruth has all the land and money she now has. But what I don't get is the whole Wendy storyline. As far as I can tell, the Byrdes don't actually have much money. Their stake in the casino and all they own is not really theirs, it's all the cartel's. So how in the world can wendy "own" the midwest? How is she powerful enough to do anything? She pays for this expensive lawyer, she can give 2 million in cash to her dad, but this isn't hers right? I gotta say that bit really confuses me.

Episode 2 certainly made some unique...choices...for the character; a few of which I'm sure a good deal of comic fans are not going to like for a variety of reasons (I like the reasoning behind it though, so I'm fine with the change). I do like how it is shifting to focusing to time with Marc now though, and find the amount of 'costume' screen time decent as it clearly feels they are building it up more and more each episode.

Main complaint though is I really wish they stuck with the idea of it all being in Stevens head much longer before giving him a massive exposition dump. I get people nearby will think he is crazy since they cannot see the beasts he battles, but it would have been nice for him to doubt the reality of that longer and struggle with all of this supernatural stuff not being something in his head.

While I get that complaint, I was also being really antsy about the whole thing. I wanted the costumed fisticuffs! And I feel this episode delivered on that in a really fun and interesting way. I read some Moonknight and this whole Steven thing was very new to me so it was like understanding the character through new eyes. I really liked this episode. I can't believe it was just short of an hour since it felt like it just flew by for me. I have not experienced that in a long time.
