  1. I've been charged at varying times. Way more common to be charged somewhere on day after rcvd & def before SFG. but I have been charged a day or two after SFG notice before and once when I was at the Grading/QC stage.
  2. I've been tracking this thread for last couple years. With the COVID shutdown of cons, CGC worked through their backlog and about late April/early May, TATs were mind blowing. Like you could have a batch of moderns graded and back in hand in almost 3-3.5 week's time. No fast track necessary. Now they're in the middle of grading the first rounds of a huge number of the advertised In-House Signings. That promised 3 week turnaround prioritizes those over regular submissions (My Crane & Perez signings came back to me before 6/15). So expect delays on reg subs. I've had a modern sub, sitting at received since 6/9. Just a month ago, they would have gone to SFG within a few days and QC in about 10 business days. So be patient.
  3. I feel ya. I have a modern submission sitting at received 6/9 as well and no changes. I will admit though, I had books in for Clayton Crane & George Perez events and those were signed 6/2 and 6/8 respectively and both those comics are already back in my hands. So I think non-inHouse signing event books are stuck in holding pattern until they clear out their SigSeries. So imagine, when they finally get around to conducting the Frank Miller & Chris Claremont signings? Whoo-boy, I bet that causes a HUGE backlog for all the non-signature submissions.
  4. InHouse Signing (George Perez) x2 Delivered: 4/30/2020 CGC Rcvd: 5/4/2020 CGC Charged: 5/5/2020 SFG: 6/10/2020 Grading/QC: 6/11/2020 F/I/S: 6/12/2020 The details indicate that Perez signed on 6/8 in case anyone else is judging where theirs are in the process.
  5. Even faster results than I expected! CGC is really kicking butt on TATs right now. Real excited to get them back in mail. InHouse Signing (Clayton Crain) x3 Delivered: 5/8/2020 CGC Rcvd: 5/11/2020 CGC Charged: 5/11/2020 SFG: ? Grading/QC: 6/4/2020 F/I/S: 6/5/2020 EDIT: In case anyone's looking for their Crain signings, mine indicates he signed on 6/2. I can also see some George Perez In-House have moved to SFG. Will update once completed and his signing date.
  6. Woo-hoo! My batch of books for the Clayton Crain signing are already marked Grading/QC! Wasn't expecting any movement there until Monday when Con was completed. FWIW, my books were marked received 5/11. Will post the full status change dates when i get to F/I/S stage.
  7. InHouse signings out the wazzoo first weekend of June, so I wouldn't doubt it. My last one for Claremont was delivered on the 22nd, but logged into CGC's system today even considering the holiday weekend backlog and staff PTO. So the InHouse signings are bumping regular subs' check-ins, at least a little bit, right now.
  8. MAN, I know it can't last, but I am getting SPOILED with these turnaround times. That's 15 business days! Last batch I was waiting on as I've got a bunch submitted for the in-house signings. Gotta slow down the spending, lol. Modern; slow track Received: 4/28/2020 CGC Rcvd Email: 4/29/2020 CGC Charged: 5/5/2020 SFG: 5/11/2020 Grading/QC: 5/14/2020 F/I/S: 5/15/2020
  9. I haven't seen a real deviation in grading that surprised me. But these grader's notes blew my mind from order finalized mid-March. Some grader is really attn to detail oriented (appreciated) or had extra time. Never seen notes for anything above 9.2 and even at that grade it's spotty. <=9.0 reliably receive notes.
  10. Yeah, CGC is really REALLY on the ball with their turnarounds. I had a Modern w/press that went from received 10/31 to Shipped on 4/2. Then I had below submitted almost full 2 months later, turnaround like 3 weeks later. Wow. Modern w/press, no fast track Received: 12/27/2019 CCS Charged: 3/23/2020 CGC Rcvd Email: 4/24/2020 CGC Charged: 4/26/2020 SFG: 4/27/2020 Grading/QC: 4/28/2020 F/I/S: 4/29/2020
  11. I only ever send mine direct. If sub is delivered Mon-Wed, it's usually marked received same week. If it's delivered Thurs or Fri, it's marked received the next week by Wednesday. This is in contrast to TATs I've seen of submitters at shows, where it can take anywhere from couple days to 2 weeks for a convention submission to be marked received.
  12. 5x Modern submission, no additional services: Delivered: 3/20/2020 Received: 3/25/2020 CGC Charged: 3/26/2020 SFG: 4/17/2020 Grading/QC: 4/20/2020 F/I/S: 4/20/2020
  13. Having monitored CISA, Treasury, and DHS advisories on what constitutes an "Essential Service/Workforce" for my own workplace, I can guarantee you, collectibles do not fit the bill. But even my city that's had increasingly more restrictive measures until a full lockdown last week, some businesses are still running even though they don't fit definition either. In my estimation, CGC should probably comply w/Gov DeSantis' order, but whether they will? Dunno. Have to wait for their announcements. That said, I may have come in just under the wire - VERY long wait: Modern submission w/CCS Pressing x5 Received: 10/31/2019 CCS Charged: 2/18/2020 CGC Rcvd Email: 3/18/2020 CGC Charged: 3/19/2020 SFG: 3/18/2020 Grading/QC:3/31/2020 F/I/S: 4/2/2020
  14. OH THANK GOD. Have 5 moderns sitting at rcvd 10/31 and CCS billed 2/18. Been getting antsy waiting for the second CGC received notice/bill so I can start a reliable timer for the actual grading. Your time gives me hope I'll see that in next few days. CCS service is awesome, but turnaround is balls, man. I'm exploring other options now.
  15. Dang Sauce Dog...just read your timeline and that's a horror story. While it really doesn't help the current submission, I advocate for everyone to join CGC on their own. Then you have end-to-end control over tracking and order modification. Especially if you're caught with an LCS that messed up and decides acting shady is better than honest admission of facts. The middle tier $150 seems expensive at first, but that credit that goes towards first sub is awesome. I got 10 moderns graded/shipped for about $70.
  16. Modern submission, slow track (no addl svcs) Delivered: 2/3 Received: 2/4 CGC Charged: 2/5 SFG: 2/25 Grading/QC: 3/2 (AM) F/I/S: 3/3 Really impressed, that's just 19 weekdays.
  17. Finally got word on an anticipated submission. 1x Standard w/press Received: 1/3/20 CCS Charged: 1/13/20 (PM) CGC received from CCS: 1/16/20 (PM) CGC Charged: 1/17/20 (PM) SFG: 2/5/20 (PM) Grading/QC: 2/6/20 F/I/S: 2/7/20
  18. EEK...was your submission "received" mid-September? That does not give me great hope for my own moderns that were "received" 10/31. That would push those out for CCS completing work in mid march or so.
  19. Oooh, I've got a 5 book submission with press (first time) showing received 10/31. Looking forward to your updates so I can gauge when my books may be up!
  20. That's right. It was a radical departure from what I'm used to (charged at time of Received). I haven't posted it yet because it hasn't reached F/I/S status, but I had another submission (Standard) tier, that had a Pressing. I was charged by CCS and then charged by CGC for grading after they received it back from CCS. Maybe CGC is changing up how they bill people? I mean, I see the point when you're a dealer who could have thousands of dollars tied up at the front end and have to wait upwards of months before you receive a product back that you can sell.
  21. Checking multiple times a day, I've noticed updates can be first thing in morning or really late in day, like 8:30pm CST. So I'm including an AM/PM at a step if status changed on one of those extremes. 2x Modern (slow track) Received: 12/12/19 SFG: 1/15/19 (AM) Grading/QC: 1/20/20 CGC Charged: 1/20/20 (PM) F/I/S: 1/23/20 (AM)
  22. 10x Modern (no addl svcs) Rcvd = 9/18/2019 Shipped = 10/16/2019 5x Modern (no addl svcs) Rcvd = 10/31/2019 Shipped = 12/13/2019 In the first above SFG, QA, and Shipped changed status within 24 hours. On the second, I didn't even see status changed despite daily checkins, I just received a shipping conf email about 8p CST so I knew to go check my grades. Unfortunately, I do have a dozen books in with requested CCS before grading so I guess I'll see those sometime mid-summer, LOL.
