  1. Currently have six subs awaiting charges myself so CC will get punched in face soon. And while never maxing submissions, just my meager 5-10 books subs I've been splitting half keep/half flip to pay for the whole order. 1% cash back is nice on CC too! So I understand that cost benefit analysis.
  2. .....wow Mind me asking, are you a dealer, speculator/flipper side hustle, or just working through umpteen long boxes to get a personal collection accrued over decades all graded? I mean...that's huge $ outlay for CFP + CGC each month.
  3. I didn't see "Grading/Encapsulation..." on my order detailed below, is this new process step listing as of like yesterday? 5x Modern - slow, no addl services) Delivered: 3/29 CGC Rcvd: 4/24 CGC Charged: 5/11 SFG: 4/24 Grading/QC: 7/2 F/I/S: 7/7
  4. TRUTH! I usually get charged in middle of TAT. But have been charged couple of times between Grading/QC phase and one the day after F/I/S
  5. Subbing a high dollar book for CGC-SS saves money, depending on value tier.
  6. I read an interesting interview with head of Comics curating? Sales? of Heritage Auction covering boom in sales & prices. One of the things that stood out to me is the off hand comment, "The auction results were led by a new “pedigree” collection called The Promise Collection, featuring nearly 5,000 comics..." Considering how there was a brief hiatus in InHouse Signings and TATs were still increasing, I honestly believe CGC put everything on hold to process the Promise Pedigree books and get them on block ASAP. Now that they (or bulk) have cleared, we can hopefully have rest of organization catch up. Fingers crossed. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robsalkowitz/2021/06/23/what-the-hell-is-going-on-in-the-collectible-comics-market/?sh=7d620db6307c
  7. I had that happen to a sub in March - marked rcvd and checked in SFG instantly. It's such an aberration, I picture a handler walking down hall with a newhire who just grabs a random box off pallet and says "here's how checkin works..."
  8. Sorry ya'll, gotta feed the beast on this one. I've had a Mark Jewelers Alpha Flight #51 waiting for an opportunity to get his sig for the last 3 years.
  9. Is it just me or did the Eastman signing really %$!& CGC up like no other signing? I was surprised to see people proudly posting their CGC-SS returns on other parts of internet and I'm all, "dang, 3 week TAT really lied to you." And here you still havent gotten yours?!
  10. Keep the faith, I have a VALUE sub, delivered same day that was checked in couple days ago. Yours should be soon
  11. Like others, I do. Based in DFW https://www.comicrefresh.com/ Always pleased with the results and grades for what I'm submitting. Turnaround time for me is usually 2-3 weeks. He submits for me, but I use own account. The SFG at time of arrival vs RCVD for weeks is a total crapshoot.
  12. Like the pricing change at time of submission, I would assume they respect the initial tier/FMV at time of submission but cant say for sure. I know they won't nickel & dime you though. Like before FMVs increased for tiers, I sent A LOT of stuff on the $200 FMV bubble Modern. They didnt upcharge me for like a 9.8 valued around 300.
  13. YIKES! That is a loooong wait. I know Joey is the OG and all, but so glad my friend recommended her presser to me. I only send like 5-10 books per sub, but he always has mine knocked out in under two weeks. Often a week and I'm happy with results on what I see and grades I get back.
  14. @greggy given CFPs posted TATs, your batches have been out of your hands for literally half the year right? Like your screenshots of current G/QC & F/I/S subs arrived at Joey to be worked on in like Dec or Jan?
  15. Lord I hope. Have a Value Fast Track delivered like 4/28 that still hasn't been checked in yet.
  16. What's that bloodstone look like? Water damage or severe creases? I always feel like it's "hard" to get a modern that low unless it really went thru the ringer.
  17. Yeah, our schedules are synching like a sorority
  18. Completed batch! Felt like a long wait, but it was a walk in park, since submissions arrived before open/check-in times got absurd and price changes went into effect. Modern x8 (no addl services) Delivered: 3/4 Rcvd: 3/25 Charged: 5/11 SFG: 5/22 Grading/QC: 5/25 F/I/S: 5/27
  19. Oooh fancy Halon release? That'd be nice, but I sincerely doubt as that's intended for (typically) unmanned locations like industrial control rooms or datacenter server rooms where personnel work primarily in a non-Halon fire control location.
  20. Good lord, then we have TATs on various levels of shipping box condition! 🤣
  21. I kind of think this is extending the hot market, because it's producing a trickle of new books to replace what Stimmy bought up, as opposed to a glut within couple months' time. I've had a few on my watchlist that have disappeared and I think I may have to jump on next appearance for sale Not to mention the anecdotes I've seen of, "paid too much, but buy now or never per cost increases or diminishing supply."
  22. Well the good news is increased fees increased Modern value max from $200 -> 400. Don't think you'd have to worry that much unless something has really blown up that much.
  23. It's all over the place. Have a 3/25 modern marked rcvd. Have a 4/20 modern marked SFG as soon as it was opened. Who knows what darkness lurks in the minds of these madmen.
