  1. Did you opt for CCS/press service and/or are these VALUE (or MAGAZINE) tier? Because received on 8/15 is too long to not see it move to SFG. That sounds like asking them what's hold up could be good. I've always used CGC's contact form through website for general questions and clarifications on stuff and they're real quick to follow-up. Especially this early in day.
  2. Hypothetically, you should have seen two "received" dates. The first is, in the building & checked in then sent to CCS. The 2nd received is when it's sent over from CCS completed which will be the newest date in portal. THAT new date is when you should start counting 40 days. Also the day expectation listed is M-F, weekends dont count (even tho there's anecdotal evidence of weekend OT by graders/handlers). It's also worth speculating about signings too. CGC doesn't count the FRI before a big con in the TAT estimate. Without cons, do they apply the same exception to day count where a big name comes in for signing?
  3. I would second the call in to customer service, that's a LONG time. I had a batch of 10x modern that were marked received no 8/13 and F/I/S on 9/19. Yours being received 8/21 really should have started moving to Grading/QC and even shipping out around end of September, first week of October I would think. Best of luck!
  4. It WAS a lot less. Like <month turn around. I started working on submitting some early 70s hulks and by the time I got them prepped and sent, *BAM* TAT is back up. So I guess a lot of other people were smart like me and decided to duck Modern for Value subs while the getting was good. Still it beats the 85-92 days Value tier was looking at earlier in year. That was nuts.
  5. CGC can be all over the map as to when they actually charge you. Check my comment history for a dozen+ status updates w/full breakdown of dates at each stage. My first submission I didnt realize this and had used an ATM card. Emailed after couple weeks asking when I would be charged can I change to regular CC? They said yes and I was charged right then.
  6. 10x Modern slow track (no addl services) Delivered: 8/10 CGC Rcvd: 8/13 CGC Charged: 8/14 SFG: 9/15 Grading/QC: 9/18 F/I/S: 9/19 I've often wondered about whether or not they work OT and I think I have a definitive answer. I've seen stuff update late at night, but never over weekend. Pretty sure mine updated the submission with grades + notes and marked F/I/S on Saturday, to be shipped out Monday. There's a chance it was done late Friday, but last time I had checked was early Friday evening when CGC's offices had been "closed" for a couple hours. Then again early Saturday afternoon when I saw completed. Good luck to all of you.
  7. No that would seem odd. When sub is first rcvd, you only see Sub# and quantity of books per tier(s) selected. But as soon as it hits SFG you should be able to click on the sub# and see the itemized list of each book - waiting for their grades to be added.
  8. Had to correct the above TAT! Seriously, they charged me for the above submission the day after they were delivered back to me. LOL. I guess there was some debate about which sub to apply renewal credit to - this or the next batch waiting in queue. So got a paid in full receipt that I think is hilarious.
  9. And we're done! 6x Modern Sub (no addl svcs) Delivered: 6/29 CGC Received: 7/1 CGC Charged: SFG: 8/5 Grading/QC: 8/6 F/I/S: 8/10 Membership renewed during this sub with the Credit so I don't know if I'll be charged. Does the credit cover shipping? If it doesn't, I would assume, I'll be charged the S&H tonite in overnight processing. Now to wait for the next sub that was delivered over the weekend to be entered into the waiting queue.
  10. Depends on carrier. UPS/FedEx should be within 1-4 business days. From experience, FedEx shipping tier will do a "business" delivery between like 8a-6p M-F. No weekends. AND won't allow re-route to a new destination, like work. So if not home to get it, you'll have to call and ask to hold at the nearest distribution hub for will-call pickup <-- been there. It's a normal thing to do, but still a PITA If it's USPS, then I'd assume same 1-4 business days, but way things have been going with their slowdown/change in package handling, it could be 2 weeks.
  11. Not usually one for incremental updates, but given how subs have been derailed by the InHouse signings, I wanted to share this, since many of us haven't had status changes in weeks: 6x Modern slow track (no addl services) CGC Received: 7/1 SFG: 8/5 <-- updated just this afternoon That's 24 business days, not counting Fri before Independence day. I don't expect a F/I/S till late next week at the earliest.
  12. What...how many chickens you sacrifice for that TAT? Maybe I should just turn my sights to getting my Value tiers graded, LOL.
  13. And my last item from Chris Claremont signing has cleared the queue! Delivered: 5/22 CGC Rcvd: 5/26 CGC Charged: 5/27 (signed 7/21 SFG: 7/23 Grading/QC: 7/28 F/I/S: 7/29 Got a 7.0 for my reader copy of God Loves, Man Kills and I'm happy it's rejoining the collection. Back to staring at last sub, received on 7/1, that hasn't budged or been charged.
  14. Now THAT is awesome Adamantium! I'm happy for you getting such a nice bump! Did not submit my GSX1 for signing, but it currently carries a "lowly" 5.0 because of some light staining. Don't care, still presents like an 8.0...in my heart. Mine are nothing special, but all came in higher than expected based on raw condition...like; 6.5 X-men 101, 7.5 Iron Fist 14, 9.0 X-men 129...and a couple others. They were personal collection, not investment/speculative so I'm pretty stoked! Just waiting on my God Loves, Man Kills to come back since it was subbed under magazine tier. Anyway...back to drumming a hole in desk waiting on my blue label modern subs with the rest of you, LOL
  15. My books from the Chris Claremont signing are done and overall, very pleased with results. Hopefully other submitters will be too. Claremont In-House Signing x10 (no addl services) Delivered: 5/18 CGC Rcvd: 5/19 CGC Charged: 5/20 (signed by Chris Claremont 7/21) SFG: 7/22 Grading/QC: 7/28 F/I/S: 7/29 I know mine is but a twig in the overall logjam, but hopefully as these In-House signing clear out, the rest of our regular submissions will pick up steam!
  16. I am not at the moment, but CGC is really backed up by the InHouse Signings. Claremont himself spent 2 days autographing a bunch of books. And because the posted TAT doesn't take effect until a book is marked "Received," CGC can be sneaky and pad their stats by delaying when submissions are entered into system. So I would not be concerned about it taking so long to be marked received - it isn't lost. That being said, I have reached out to Customer Service via contact us form at bottom of page several times and they have been incredibly responsive to my requests/queries.
  17. Dates are unreliable, because it was almost completed when I requested customer service divert it back into queue for Chris Claremont signing. Real excited to have this book back in my hot hands after 7 months! Modern w/CCS Delivered: 12/27/2019 CCS Charged: 3/23/2020 CGC Rcvd: 4/24/2020 CGC Charged: 4/26/2020 SFG: 4/27/52020 Grading QC: 4/28/2020 (diverted to Chris Claremont signing) SFG: 7/21/2020 Grading/QC: 7/22/2020 F/I/S: 7/24/2020
  18. ....and I see that Claremont was back again for a 2nd day of signings. We'll have a backlog like Con season never ended, LOL
  19. I'll note Chris Claremont did his in-house signing yesterday. I would also bet money that he probably drew the most books out of all their guests, so expect the waits to stay long while they clear out the SigSeries priority queue and return to Modern backlog. On the flip-side, as one who has had several orders queued up for Chis' signature since May, it is exhilarating to see their status change to SFG! Apologies in advance to everyone else (me included) whose "lowly" moderns are being pushed back again.
  20. I doubt they've furloughed/laid off. Everything is backlogged because of in-house signings and meeting those promised TATs. In past week they've had Frank Miller, Mayhew, and several others on roster pass through. It's all a waiting game.
  21. Mine just came thru, hopefully yours too Stormshadow! Modern x5 (no addl services) Delivered: 6/5/2020 CGC Rcvd: 6/9/2020 CGC Charged: 6/10/2020 SFG: 7/1/2020 Grading/QC: 7/7/2020 F/I/S: 7/8/2020
  22. Since about mid-June, many Value subs are experiencing warp speed turnaround. I think the in-house signings mostly run through modern tiers (as those TATs are slower after previous warp speeds). Also ppl prioritizing non-Value books for said signings. Those 2 trends have left Modern graders over worked and Value graders under worked. That's how I visualize it anyway.
  23. They would reply back to the email address that you listed on their form. I've used their online contact form to ask questions several times, they'll reply back w/in 24 hours (business day) and usually same day if sent in AM.
  24. You and me both! Exact same dates, even. We're neck'n'neck...
