  1. An animated version is the only way the FF will work, something along the lines the Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cartoon before they revamped it into Avengers Assemble. I love the Fantastic Four and have a near complete run, but they haven’t aged well and even if it was a pure Marvel Production it would be a hard sell. Their powers and story just don’t translate well to live action.
  2. I'm not sure I ever noticed Millie's hips before this thread.. Another western. I like the woodgrain background.
  3. I know that's the rate and also that a bubble envelope is ridiculous, but to be honest that's kind of high for a single slab. I've always been able to pack a single slab securely in a box and keep the weight from going over 2 lbs, which would be $12.75 coast to coast.
  4. At $10 I could see myself doing it IF it was available on-site and IF there wasn’t a value limit, sort of like a $10 post to the Hey Buddy, Can You Spare a Grade? Forum for fun, but at a higher rate and with value restrictions I don’t see it as being useful for me.
  5. Get out your spears. While I love all first 100 issues of the FF, #25 and #26 were never at the top of my list. I was even a bit disappointed when I read them. The story is just fine, but George Roussos inks on those books really put me off, especially in #25. He’s not the best inker for Kirby. I find the earlier issues he did less bothersome; #25 just didn’t click for me.
  6. Hey, I can start go-nowhere posts alongside the best of 'em!
  7. My Comic Shop has begun weekly auctions. Discuss.
  8. Seeing all these books is great! its nice to take a break from some of the more typical stuff.
  9. Are you serious? Don't let these guys jerk you around. To change your custom title, go to My Stuff, then go to Preferences. You can change your custom title there
  10. Deja vu. Haven't we seen this movie before?
  11. Helen Grant is one of those books I'd really like but always forget to look for.
  12. In case Blowie is busy, I think this is the thread.
  13. I don't think I've ever come across a Strange Tales #56. And that Dippy Duck. He's an insufficiently_thoughtful_person. What a person_too_unaware_of_social_graces!
  14. Cool! When I think Straw-Man I usually think high grade slabbed superheroes.
  15. 2.0 - 2.5 seems a little harsh. If I saw someone selling it as a 3.0 I wouldn’t think they were out of line.
  16. A 2 lb Priority box shipped in a local zone is going to cost $7.20; coast to coast will run $12.75. Once you’re over 1 lb ($8.35) you’re at $12.75. As mentioned, the 1095 box is the one you want. They are free but you can only order them online. The post office does not carry them, and the folks at the counter may not even know what you are talking about if you ask for one. Some people double box slabs with a 1092 inside a 1095. Don’t use a 1092 by itself; there’s not enough extra room inside to pad and protect the slab.
