  2. Did someone say Showcase New England? Here's an old thread about them, containing links to others.
  3. That one is a new poster done in the style of a Third Eye poster. This one is in my kitchen.
  4. This might be my favorite of the ST Torch series, a nice mix of Kirby pre-hero fantasy and the burgeoning superhero books. Great copy!
  5. Here's my Cap and Iron Man Third Eye posters in their natural habitat ca. the mid 70s. Sorry to say I lost the Cap sometime in the early 90s, but still have Iron Man.
  6. That Hulk 180 was a fair price and I got no bites so I listed it elsewhere. You pulled it out of the sales forum less than 24 hours after you posted it. Indeed I did, that was because even though boardies said it was a fair price I didn't even get one question. To be fair I do know you need to make a profit on comics but I know not everyone is a dealer here. Right. But books don't necessarily sell instantaneously. I'm on the boards a lot and didn't even see it until after you'd closed the thread.

  8. I have no comment about this purchase, but imagine others might.
  9. I stand corrected. Thanks! Here's a nice resource I should have checked before opening my yap.
  10. ...I remember when Rogovin had several Kirby western pages on his site..... probably 20 years ago.... but I was so close to just grabbing one...... all were in the 3-400 dollar range GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) I remember when Sharkey had one for sale here, right on the cusp of prices blowing up. I forget which issue, but it had a very interesting panel layout that was oriented horizontally; rather than using panels with height having the longest length, the width was longest. I regret not buying it but at the time it didn’t fit into the budget.
  11. I'd look at every possible venue including the major dealer websites (High Grade Comics, Superworld, etc.)
  12. While I do think an autograph by a person who worked on a book is cool, a comic book simply owned by a celebrity/actor has no cachet for me, wouldn’t matter who it was. If you are happy with the grade and price, it makes sense to go for it but paying extra doesn’t.
  13. Looks like the 1993 Monogram Luminators reissue; they put out the Aurora kits in neon colors.
  14. Why? Cuz he's prepping it for sale when he actually receives the book. Because of the U-Foes, U-Fool. The FF knockoff? Really? Remember, he's pimping his next sale of this book. He's going to buy and sell the same copy numerous times over the next few years due to other "priorities" Stick to your romance books fool because no one will buy those. Besides I'm not the guy who buys multiple copies of Booster Gold and Squirrel Girl for a quick flip. My money's on Greggy's bank account.
  15. If I don’t enjoy the movie, I’ll just make my own kaiju battle.
  16. Yes, but Toho has re-booted the series several times with different continuity. The original was the Showa period, from 1954-1975, ending with The Terror of Mecha Godzilla. No other films were made until the Heisei era, from 1985-1995. That run of films ignored all the previous continuity except for the first film from ‘54, IIRC. The Millenium series ran from 1999-2004 again ignored previous continuity except for the first film.
  17. Hits the theaters next Tuesday! I'm looking forward to it, though I'm not crazy about the current Godzilla design. Wish they'd kept him more like the Millenium Series.
  18. The missus and I watched about ¾ of episode 2 last night until streaming pooped the bed; we still like it. I still have no problems with the plot or acting. Do some of you folks dislike the lack of action? I’m feeling like I’m reaching the saturation point with slam-bang superhero movies and have been enjoying the low-key approach.
