I was confused by this myself since I've always known this defect as pebbling. I thought perhaps a grader was trying to differentiate between types of pressed-in patterns, but I suppose the more likely answer is that someone was unaware the term pebbling had been part of grading lexicon for a while.

Since the fellow who was the President and Primary Grader at CGC, and who played a huge role in the institutionalization of modern day grading standards, is the Founder, President and Primary Grader at the other grading company, I find this argument lacking in merit.

That looks more like a hefty stain with some bleed through rather than dirt. Lower staple looks rusty on the splash page, and looks like there's rust migration on the back cover from the same staple. It might be better structurally, but it'll get hammered for those defects. 5.0/5.5.

In early February, I asked for an invoice for a book I had purchased earlier. I promptly received a reply, paid, and received the item. My last PM with Jeff was February 7th. I don't want to be a middleman or disclose private information, but he did mention at that time he had been dealing with a concussion. I would be inclined to believe he is having personal difficulties right now as opposed to attempting something nefarious.
