  1. Greggy has done it...once, there will not be a second time. I also facilitated...once. Lets leave it at that.
  2. I used to like you. Time for a Gordie Howe hat trick.
  3. One week away before my flight to the great white North
  4. I have a similar setup, but I had a custom wall mounted cabinet made that is deep enough to house the entire slab.
  5. The after pictures show a loss of gloss to me, as well as light pebbling.
  6. Not with the color break located by the handle in the cabinet (outside edge of front cover). Not sure why its not in the notes, but that looks light a thumb crease to me. And one of the creases looks deep enough to break color. It does look under graded.
  7. And the card. CGC will not encapsulate the book with the bag. Additionally, most (if not all) polybagged books are damaged from the bags hard creases, so don't expect the automatic 9.8.
  8. +1. I always buy with confidence from Bob.
  9. There are many threads over the years discussing this storage method. They are good reading.
  10. When gravity over time, causes your books to have damage on the bottom edge, you will see how storing books long term on their spine side will make sense. I see damage caused by storing books upright all the time, especially with certain inner well designs.
  11. Bill Mantlo Not sure if this is the Bill Mantlo that later worked for Marvel, but the timeline is correct, as well as where he lived at the time. This was a letter printed in TTA #90.
  12. I wonder if this book always suffering from staple punctures is the reason many are in 9.4 but not higher grade. I see lot of great copies that look sweet in every way, but the area around the staples is susupect. Saw a beautiful 9.6 at ECCC and it had two slight staple punctures and that was about it.
  13. Dry cleaning does not remove certain stains. The ones from the tape are through and through, so no amount of dry cleaning will get those out. The book does have some pressable defects I can see from the scans, but is the .5 grade difference (if you get it) worth the extra cost involved? Probably not.
  14. That and I don't ever remember getting locked out of the show for hours, while the fire Marshall tries to get people to exit the building.
  15. It really is. Even if I didn't buy a single comic the show is a must for me. Great boardies, great city and I get my years fill of talking hockey. Ever try talking hockey to someone carrying a surfboard? Not easy...not easy.
