Moderns are getting done early, but vintage seem to have started lagging a little.

Selling a bunch of under copies. Most are in the 9.0 and above range, but a few have great eye appeal with one or two significant defects. No one on any lists. I accept PayPal and personal checks. Shipping is not included but I might throw it in if you buy enough books. PM me if international buyer. Selling in lots of ten. May break them up if they don't initially move. Returns accepted.

If still available.

The ASM 129 was a challenge, especially the chewed up spine.

Most likely they slid off their desk. -
Price stickers will impact the book. Best to leave things like this to professionals.

Original Hanger Bag for GI Joe #1
joeypost replied to Waeelin's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Looks like you have already received some very sound advice. After taking it out of the bag, post nice scans or pictures in the please grade section. -
-
The reality of things is that you can submit this book again and possibly get a 9.8 on it. No rhyme or reason to grading between 9.6 and 9.8 these days. Personally when I feel a book has been under graded, I hold on to it for a little while and resubmit it. My success rate for the grade bump is north of 50%.

This isn’t an old comic by standards, but IIRC the cover stock was a little thicker compared to most comics of that era. When the thicker stock is hard folded (as in a pressing) this can make the “cracking” on the spine edge seem more pronounced. As a said earlier this can be reduced or eliminated in most cases.

The Thor 201 is stunning.
