  1. It's becoming the new normal for me with books over a certain dollar amount.
  2. No movement on my modern as of this morning. Didn’t notice that some of my vintage went from safe back to grading quality control for some reason.
  3. Only if they need it...and that's where a good eye for grading comes in to play.
  4. Looks like something affected the inks while they were wet.
  5. Could be foxing, as it often can be confused with an oily stain. I have seen blotches of foxing the size of quarters on certain book. Could also be a stain which would be hit a little harder by CGC.
  6. None of my 12/7 moderns are out of SFG yet.
  7. There are a few large faint areas of foxing, which got dinged. 7.5 was tight in the grading but I couldn’t see 8.5 with that much foxing.
  8. I have also cracked out my share of slabs and agree something way out of the ordinary had to happen to achieve this level of fraud.
  9. All the modern graders must be grading signature books.
  10. All of my moderns are still SFG, yet all but 1 of my value submissions have already shipped. 20 vs. 30 working days ??????
  11. It all depends on when they get entered into the CGC queue. If I send in my invoice starting with 415 two weeks before someone sends their paperwork in starting with 413...mine would go out the door first if CGC stays true to their FIFO system. Then again, that could all go out the window if one invoice is fast-tracked or sent in at a faster tier of service.
  12. That’s why I asked if it was raised. Could be a drop of paint.
  13. Sorry to hear this Bob. Unfortunately, for many of us we are in the “take” phase of life. I truly hope things get better for you very soon.
