  2. I don’t believe that’s the process, but you never know.
  3. So much for pre-screen adding extra time.
  4. All my books have been received by CGC, the rest is up to the graders 🧑🏻‍🦯🧑🏻‍🦯🧑🏻‍🦯
  5. It would have to be a book by book evaluation, like many older more worn comics. I have done worked on many pulps over the years and things can go south quickly if you are too aggressive in your approach, especially the dry cleaning and prep stages.
  6. Keep the books in a dark climate controlled part of the house. Displaying scans seems the safest least expensive way to go.
  7. I could see if it was a sticker. Then yes, a green label would be warranted. This, as many have already pointed out, is a date stamp and IMO should garner a blue label.
  8. 😢 none of mine are entered yet. And yes, the Deadpool 15 is part of this CGC run.
  9. I’m assuming the bottom pictures are the after photos?
  10. He was at Terry’s show this weekend. I talked to him a little bit without recognizing him at first.
  11. CGC’s definition of minor could be 1-2 spots or twenty. Leave it be.
  12. Restoration rarely increases the value. It will improve eye appeal, if that’s all your looking for.
  13. Maybe I didn’t read deep enough into your reply. i asked for tips, not a critique. thanks.
  14. Keep in mind this book was manufactured with a thicker stock paper.
  15. Sadly, there are videos out there that detail how to clean a book with a magic eraser.
  16. The only magic these types of erasers provide is magically watching the value of your book plummet after stripping off gloss and color.
  17. Since you asked nicely. Start with understanding paper fibers (from different era’s). How they trap dirt, stains, tanning,, etc. How the paper reacts to hydration, heat, etc Once familiar with the paper, learn what different types of erasers are out there, and the specific function they provide. Not all erasers are created equal. Start on beater books and work on your technique and how much pressure to apply as you work, again all books are not created equal so this is where practice and knowledge of the type of book you are working on comes in. There is no simple formula, it comes down to practice, practice and more practice. I have worked on roughly 300,000 books and still run across books that give me fits.
  18. Too bad there aren’t any experts giving him advice.
