  1. I just had a customer send me a picture of a book that the notes indicated "corner crunched". It was an 8.0 square bound book that had tons of wear with some of the paper fraying off of the spine. No crunch to been seen.
  2. Safest way is double boarded (at least) in the proper fitting bag. Then the books should be wrapped in bubble wrap and put into a box that fits everything with little or no movement. Then wrap that box in bubble wrap and put it into a bigger box. Then insure heavily.
  3. I also love when they use restorative techniques and try and compare that against a regular CnP.
  4. I also have addition copies that I can scan on request of... Marvel Age 90 in 9.6 Marvel Age 90 in 9.4 Spider-Man #1 Poly-Bagged Silver Edition CGC 9.8
  5. Spider-Man #1 Poly-Bagged Silver Edition CGC 9.6 $160.00
  6. Spider-Man #1 Poly-Bagged Silver Edition CGC 9.8 $300.00
  7. Marvel Tales 239 CGC 9.6 $250.00
  8. Last three books for this thread. Closes tomorrow. I will send out invoices then.
  9. Can it be pressed? Yes. Will it improve the grade? Marginally. Will it look better in the slab? Yes.
  10. So your saying they are good at pressing 9.8’s into 9.8’s?
  11. The indentations, yes. The ink would be much more difficult.
  12. I bid on two Hulk books on clink last night. Hulk 164 and 166. Nothing special about them other than being 9.8’s. one went for over $1,000 the other not far behind.
  13. Production related. I have seen hundreds of copies with the same issue to varying degrees.
  14. This is a very common issue with this book. Usually top and bottom of the spine.
  15. The millions of dollars invested into CCG’s system hard at work, for your ultimate disappointment.
  16. A lot has to do with whoever does the C&P.
  17. I don't see this book getting anything above 7.5, most likely 7.0. Too many issues that break color.
  18. Dry cleaning will not remove stains. You need techniques that are considered restorative. Surface dirt and other foreign substances…yes and maybe.
