They also need to show the encapsulation room that it is OK to have a little room in the inner well. A too tight inner well is, at a minimum, the same as the creeper case they put out years ago, and at the worst, will cause damage to the edges of the book while being encapsulated.

This book would need some work, but all those dents will come out.

I see notes on trimming all the time. Top edge, bottom edge and outside edge. Why do I never see "spine edge" trimmed? Discuss.

I didn’t look at all the books, but the few keys I did look at see in the 4.0 range. Some money potential is present but not what you might be expecting. I would take high quality pictures of a few of the big books and post them in the grading section.

I agree. Having worked on many copies of this particular book, the staple and interior pages peeking out are very common.

It appears CGC may be dinging for distributor ink. I have 9.8’s with much worse ink bleed compared to the 9.2/9.4’s I am getting back lately.

As has been said in the past “cool books”. I know at least two people I will no longer deal with.

The last book I submitted like this came back 9.8 qualified. Is this from the manufacturer?

Finally had a chance to review the books I sent in 8/12/2021. Out of 8 books 5 were on the money. 1 came back higher than I thought. 2 came back .2 lower than expected. I believe one was dinged for distributor ink on the top edge of the book that ate some of the original color off. The second book, a Sub-Mariner 52 has no flaws and came back a 9.6. I went over it three times looking for anything external, but I couldn't find anything.
