  1. First up is Amazing Spider-Man #194 CGC 9.2 Signed by Al Milgrom $1,100.00
  2. Selling a few Signature books. All books have been pressed. No returns so please ask questions in advance. Shipping (CONUS) is included in the price. No one on any lists. If I have you on ignore, don't bother, please. First gets it.
  3. If that were the case, CGC would be opening the door to a class action lawsuit.
  4. Lots of factors are in play here. 1. Book could have been graded during a "loose grading" period. 2. With Matt the current President he is looking at books through the eye of a "presser". I would think everyone is being trained the same way. Which is not how they were looked at when CGC started. You will notice this when you crack out old slabs and notice 9.8 books that would come back 9.6/9.4 today. 3. New hires. This is only my opinion, but I cannot see how anyone is "up to speed" in a few months. Experts are called experts because they have thousands of hours invested into their hobby/profession. If these new graders did not start out as comic people, the ramp up time would be considerably longer. 4. Grading is tighter now, which is not always a bad thing. Only problem with changing standards on the fly, is you dilute the value of your older products. How many early books are sitting in 9.8 holders that would never grade 9.8 by today's standards? Because you remove some sin from a book, doesn't always guarantee it will get an upgrade.
  5. The fact that it was poly bagged and is a gold foil variant lends me to believe the crease in the bag created an issue on the cover. Impossible to tell if a book is 9.8 while inside any kind of bag. Embossing is not what makes pressing a book like this difficult. It is the foil cover.
  6. Um. Top left of the back cover has a huge non-color breaking crease. I don't think it is an artifact from the light.
  7. In some cases you would still come out ahead compared to paying the CGC reject fees.
  8. We’re these from the august batch?
  9. Each era of comic has its own challenges. In the hands of someone inexperienced, you can mess up any book.
  10. I forgot about these. GS X-Men 1 in 9.8 White Pages Incredible Hulk 181 in 9.6, one in 9.4 and another 9.2 copy. TMNT 1 in 9.2
  11. Some of my memorable ones. Werewolf by Night 32 in 9.8 White Pages. Also copies in 9.6, 9.4 and a signature series 9.0 Fantastic Four 48 in 9.6 OW/W Pages Amazing Fantasy 15 (2 copies) 5.5 and 5.0 Tales of Suspense 39 in 7.0 Avengers 1 in 8.0 OW Pages Hulk 1 in 6.5 OW Pages Star Wars 1 in 9.0 (35 cent variant) Daredevil 1 in 9.4 (literally months before it exploded)
  12. The first book has ink transfer. It was most likely there when you sent in the book. It can be erased off the book but requires some extra time to do so. The second book looks like it has damage post-pressing. Maybe when they were trying to put the wedge on the book and fit it into the inner well. I say looks to, as those types of defects could easily be missed in the pressing process or re-introduced if the cover was forced open too wide.
  13. I just got grades on an order of mine. I don’t remember the shape they were in when I sent them in, but I will let everyone know what my evaluation is when I pick them up next week.
  14. You may be one of my customers who didn’t send in paperwork with the books. My FAQ sections states this will add significant time to the TAT. What would really help us if I knew who you were. Please text me as it appears I am not getting all of my emails, again.
  15. Is there red ink on the inside of the front cover behind the logo?
  16. I am seeing more and more of this. Used to be a top of the inner well issue. Seems both edges are getting this “rippling” affect. Did you notice how close the edges of the inner well were to the comic?
