  1. As I have the time, I will scan 1-2 a week to share with everyone.
  2. I now have multiple criteria I use; and the jump in value is a big part of the metric I use.
  3. I have been recommending that customers wait on CPR's...unless I feel it is a slam dunk.
  4. I need to start scanning some of my books. I'll start with the pedigrees.
  5. Possibly, that the invoice has to be reviewed and gone over again by the finalizer.
  6. Oldest value submission I have at CGC now is from 8/31. Still SFG.
  7. Interesting. Pats books were in 9 full days before yours, hopefully he had some movement on his books. Mine were sent in 9/9...so it would be safe to assume they would be soon. What I find interesting is modern pre-screen is supposed to be regular tier plus 10 days. I sent in 4 modern submissions that day. The other three were all shipped on 10/13. So far my pre-screens (based on the info on the website) have been regular modern tier plus 18 business days.
  8. I haven't had any go down in grade, but I have had books stay the same grade that saw marked improvement. I see strict grading mainly in the ultra high grade moderns. Books that were slam dunk 9.8's years ago are coming back 9.4...and its not consistent. I see it in one submission, then the next gets graded the way they should...then I get another batch that gets hammered. Must be one, possibly two graders that are extra hard on books that you get in the rotation.
  9. It's all in the setup. Hope there are no hard feelings.
  10. What if...paper behaves differently than metal. I know it's a big what if, but what if?
  11. What if the metal was stronger in the area that was Hammered out"?
  12. Pretty book. As is, it is in the 9.0/9.2 range.
  13. Interesting, as I have modern books from 9/9 still SFG.
  14. Would need a better close up, but that is a tough one to fix due to the glossy nature/thickness of the cover
  15. I have slabbed 9.6 and 9.4 copies. Hulk 197 is the book that got me started collecting Hulk books. I have 3 9.8's that are near and dear to me.
  16. While you are entitled to your opinion, I am going to respectfully disagree. Time to make an apple pie.
  17. I remember the goodwill table frenzy many years back.
  18. While I am not going to focus on the monetary value of the books, I will draw on past experience. The “worthless” reprint books of my day, are some of the hardest books to find in any condition, let alone ultra high grade. Due to that, when they do come to market, they command premium prices, especially the ones with black/dark front or back covers.
