Straw-Man

Here's a book that was on the top of my want list and still took me a long time to find. I bought it last year but haven't posted it until now. All-American #61, first appearance of Solomon Grundy. I haven't popped this out of the holder yet, but I can't see why it's only a 2.5. The chipping on the top right corner must be what drove the condition down. I love those kinds of defects... I'll take a book like this anytime!

yeah the 4 best imho too! The drowning cover is so wonderful because of the sickly coloring on the eyes & lips... yeesh...

the goat-poo green of the skin is worth mentioning, as well.

Sweet WoF! That is a cool cover. I like #3 (tribal mask), #10 (eyeballs) and this one is also a fav!

have always thought this book had a natural bookend; since getting it, i've been after the other.

and i was able to grab it tonite; very happy about those white pages.

among the 'small' m mysteries, this has always been one of my favorite covers, Sardo. well done.

this little beaut arrived today, and closed my Mystic run... thanks to Paul!

that's going to be a tough centerfold to find; i'll be looking for it, geek.

Here is my newest Young Allies purchase. I know it is in low grade, but I really love the war cover (which was the last one of the series), and the book looks much better than a 3.5.

I'm still only up to page 40 in reading this thread. Many of the groups pictured take my breath away. After seeing the awesome Mystics on the Timely thread, I was inspired to try out this group shot. My favorite Timely title.

i'm not a d.c. guy, but if you don't like action 2, you don't like funny-books. wonderful book, mark. [made sure i got that comma in there so no one would think i meant that the action would make a good bookmark for a timely].
