  1. If you don't mind some raw copies, I might have a few in VF/NM condition at the Comic-Swap on Saturday .
  2. Don't think my books will be coming back from CGC in time for the comic swap, but I'm still happy to be there either way! I should still have a good amount of raw Marvel/DC keys I'm trying to unload Saturday, and I'm hoping to get some books signed at the show Sunday . But most importantly, looking forward to talking comics with everyone there!
  3. And THAT is exactly what I was looking for when I bought it: a nice presenting copy for me to look at and remember my hard work that went into getting it. The White pages were a definite plus
  4. THIS IS MY KIND OF TOPIC! Wish I had a better picture, but this is the only one I have saved when I got it back from CCG in August. My 6.5 might be overshadowed by all these BEAUTIFUL 8 and 9's, but it holds a lot of sentimental value to me. First big book I bought on my own after selling off 1/3 of my collection (which was all mainly Modern/Copper age stuff). I think about upgrading every now and then, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to part with it (even if I did get a higher grade out of it).
  5. I've only been speaking/reading for 31, but GEEZE is it filled with ridiculous intricacies and variations. @Claymation, in regards to your original question: I struggle with the same problem in terms of what VISUALLY makes a 9.4 vs 9.6 vs 9.8. The understanding that I have now has come from buying various graded book and trial/error with CGC. I just sent 4 copies of Moon Knight #1 that I thought were PERFECT, yet only 1came back as a 9.8 (rest were all 9.6). Doesn't help when CGC doesn't provide any Grader Notes on what imperfection kept the books from being 9.8 .
  6. Finalized/Imaged/Shipped: 12/10/19 I have mixed feelings about my grades. Out of the 4 copies of Moon Knight #1 I sent, only one got a 9.8 W. The rest were 9.6 W!
  7. Yes! Posted earlier last week, but the x14 Modern Non-Fast Track were moved to SFG on 12/6/2019. Should be done by EOD today or tomorrow I think.
  8. I've had the pleasure of trying a few from Yorkshire Square (Hurly Burly and the Drift)! Really hoping everything works out with the hotel so that this comes to fruition. Either way, I'll be there. Cheers!
  9. Looking forward to participating in this and meeting some new people. At this point, I'm having a hard time deciding what to bring! Also: BEER????
  10. Do Modern SS submissions have the same advertised turnaround as regular Modern submissions?
  11. Turnaround is bad enough already; tacking on pressing services is just asking for trouble. My advice: support your local comic book presser/cleaner . I can recommend a few to anyone in California.
  12. No movement towards actual grading on my x14 Modern (No Fast Track) But my second batch of books was entered... x10 Modern (No Fast Track) Delivered: 12/2/2019 Received: 12/5/2019 Hoping to get all of these books back before the Comic Swap at Cal-Comic Con in January ...
  13. To my knowledge, they won’t charge your card until AFTER your books/order are scanned into their system (once your package has been delivered AND unboxed). This is when it’ll show up on the website as “Received”.
  14. Yikes. I'm pretty sure I've seen other Modern Fast Track subs reported on the "Current Turnaround Rates" thread get turned around in like two weeks max. Best of luck! same here. last subs were out right on time. My most recent submission of Modern non-FT is still sitting at received as of 10/31/2019. Not sure which days in November that CGC was closed aside from Thanksgiving day (possibly the 11th and 29th), but i get the impression that they are SLAMMED. I blame everything on Todd.
  15. Pretty sure I've seen this same issue (all submissions disappearing) happen before in August/September with my last submission. Was resolved in 24 hours. Although I'm sure once it's resolved, my current submission that was received on 10/31/2019 will still be in Received status.
  16. x14 Modern (No Fast Track) Delivered: 10/25/2019 Received: 10/31/2019 Scheduled for Grading: I feel like this is the most stressful step of the whole process
