  1. Ha! You and me both, man. Last fall I nearly bought a raw GSX1 for 1800. It was about an 8.0, possibly an 8.5 from my visual inspection. Nice, bright white, sexy. My local had just gotten it in, and I figured I'd have a day or two to mull it over. So that night, I did some research, and discussed it with the wife. And it looked like it was priced a bit below market value at that time. She gave me the blessing and I went back the following day to buy it. Lo and behold, they told me it had sold the night before, shortly before closing. That one hurt for a long time, and I put the book on the back burner. Started looking into buying one a month or two ago, and couldn't believe where the prices have gone. And they seem to just get higher by the day. Fortunately, I'm a member of the ASM 129 Society which helps to ease the GSX1 pain.

Great price, great packaging, shipped quick as eff. Ed is the man. Thanks, homie!
  3. Some new TMNT arrivals. Two of the solo titles are condition upgrades, and I think the 2nd print #7 cover is awesome. I've wanted one for a while.
  4. Angry snarl *hisssss* Hahaha I've been looking for a reader copy. Ive got a slabbed one, but I'm a big Black Cat fan. Maybe I'll check if there's a facsimile out there.
  5. I like the "Angry Nixon" bubble on 123.
  6. I imagine that whoever made that call had the same demeanor as the fella in the top right pic of the "zoom call" above. Hahaha
  7. Great choice, I love that book. If you don't already have one, may I suggest picking up 127 as well. It's an inexpensive book, and the storyline is the lead in to this issue. Just throwing that out there in case you're interested.
  8. I'll take these. Does the lot include issue 152 as well? Didn't see a scan. Regardless, I'll still take the lot.
  9. Great guy to deal with, I bought a ASM121 from him recently. His communication was excellent, and he packaged it like a boss. Would definitely deal with him again. Thanks!
  10. Technically speaking, my mancave light switch cover is a "Bronze Age Spidey." Recent thrift shop pickup.
  11. Bought an ASM129 from him last week, and the transaction was a smooth pleasure. He packaged the comic to withstand an earthquake. Excellent seller!
  12. Greetings, fellow comic nerds. While I haven't done many transactions on the forum yet, I figured that I should establish a kudos thread since it was brought to my attention. And here is my ebay feedback page, I buy mostly buy: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/profholt82
  13. I opened the thread 7 minutes after he posted the GSX1. And 2 guys had already claimed it within a minute. Hahaha Amazing sale thread, CCComics!
  14. Ha! Thanks. I'm like a pig in slop over here. Or better yet, like my 10 year old self in a comic shop back in the early 90s. Hahaha
  15. It's been a huge couple of weeks for my Spidey collection, very exciting. I picked up a few favorites that I've longed for since I started collecting as a kid. I decided that it was time to go after them, and now that they're all here, I'm very happy that I did. Here are the latest additions:
  16. Fabulous centering on that one. For me, I like to see a little yellow between the left edge and the S in the green "Spider-Man" at the bottom, and a little bit of yellow between the right edge and the red exclamation point. As well as a straight blue Marvel banner with the "comics code" rectangle not being cut off at the top. These are the things I look at aesthetically with this book, and yours is damn near perfect in that respect. Nice. Both Chaos and silver web have some nice looking examples here.
  17. Came across these recently, and I had to have them. Early 90s, and I'd never heard of the series, although I remember the early 80s movie of the same name with the Ramones. Wild art and an even wilder story, definitely a fun read.
  18. Really cool book. If I were you, I'd keep it raw for now. And if you decide down the road that you'd like to sell it, then consider grading it as that would make it easier to sell. But yeah, if you do decide to get it graded, count the pages and consider going over it with a black light just so you don't end up with any surprises when you get it back. Edit: just saw that you have counted the pages. Whoops. Cool beans, bro. Very nice book.
  19. Here are a few striking covers from the 80s/early 90s that come to mind. There were tons of great Batman and Detective covers during that era. These Matt Wagner covers in particular really stood out to me. They harken back to that 40s noir style.
