  1. IMO - the top right crease would be consistent with VF/VF+. Pressing should resolve the lower corner issue, but the color break would, again, just my opinion, likely keep it out of the NM grade ranges. I don't think you can have that significant of a color breaking bend in VF/NM. Maybe you get lucky.
  2. Is it completely loose? Seems cover's detached and CF is popped. If completely detached 1.0. If at least some of the wraps are attached, I can see a 1.5 on a good day. IMO - as well worn as it is, without any major pieces missing, it's hard to see that getting a .5. Colors are still pretty good and pages look well preserved.
  3. I count 2 spine ticks, the blunting to the bottom corner of the spine, and the slight "fanning" of the book. VF+ / VF/NM for me. I'd err higher because the misalignment is production related, it would appear. 9.0
  4. More or less. 4.0-ish as is, 5.0 would be the upper expectations I'd have for what could clean/press out.
  5. In addition to the stress at both staples, I count at least three spine ticks. VF range for me. 8.0
  6. Written name wouldn't. It'd be consistent with the grade. I wouldn't conserve this. Looks like it's all attached, just worn. It presents nicely for the technical grade, IMO.
  7. The heavy edge-wear to the spine makes it tough from the angles pictured to accurately grade. There appears to be heavy stress at the top staple. Just sort of "expecting" the defects with heavy edge wear (while not necessarily being able to see it as you would looking straight on at the spine), I'd estimate this is in the VG range. A press/clean would help, but there's too much color break along the spine for this to move up meaningfully. I'd think the ceiling is in the VG/FN / FN- range.
  8. Back cover really kills it, but could probably press out. 7.0/7.5
  9. I see edge wear to top of FC above the CCA stamp, and slight edge blunting to bottom of the spine. Looks very sharp otherwise. Would benefit from a press. As is, 9.0/9.2. Would err lower because of the spine blunting. Could see this press to 9.2/9.4 but for the slight color break by the edge wear to the top of the FC.
  10. I'd call it a VG. In my experience, any noticeable water damage will have a ceiling of 3.0 with CGC.
  11. Rounded corner and pretty noticeable "blunting" of the bottom of the spine. Really need the back cover for an accurate grade. Looks VF range.
  12. I count 6 spine ticks. You have stress on the staples and the reading curl on the spine. Bottom edge of the front cover is cut off in the photos, and there is no back cover scan. Hard to give an accurate grade. Hard to give an accurate grade. Everything there seems F/VF - VF range.
  13. A seems to have a dent/ding on the bottom corner of the spine. I don't think that will press out. 9.0 for me B seems to have slight edge fading and a slight reading crease along the spine that should press out. 9.2 after a press, maybe higher. C has the obvious crease and also slight edge fading. Should probably be able to press most of it out. 8.5 after the press, maybe 9.0/9.2. As is 6.5/7.0
  14. Press should get that dent/bend that runs diagonally on the back cover above the top staple, and a good cleaning should clean up the back spine really well. I'm not sure the cleaning gets the top of the front cover out. 9.2
  15. Stress @ bottom staple. Spine ticks, edge wear logo box and top left front cover. VF-/VF - 7.5 that presents very nicely.
  16. So, the pros are this was clearly well loved, probably rolled up and stuck in a back pocket a bunch of times. The bad news - those creases badly break color, as does the heavy spine wear. It's G/VG range for me. 3.0
  17. Are the corners split? Looks as if both top and bottom spine corners are split. If so - 2.5/3.0. If not split - 3.5
  18. Hard to do without back cover and still in bag. Looks VG+-ish
  19. In my experience, any kind of water staining puts the book in G/VG range with CGC. I think this is technically VG, but CGC hammers water stains.
  20. Right front and bottom edge wear / folding. I think this could probably press to a 9.4/9.6 (don’t think the bottom wear will completely come out with a press). As is I think it’s a 9.2...I suspect the closeups make the front cover overhang edge wear look worse than it is.
