Yeah I definitely wouldn’t send it back after having it graded and finding out it was trimmed. Partial refund or store credit would be the only choices.

To be honest a fair amount of these posts telling people to block someone need more information. Not pointing out anyone specifically but typing in a username and brief description isn’t enough to block someone. At least for me it isn’t. I’d need to see copies of messages before blocking anyone. Not doubting anyone but we’re only getting one side of the story. I also think if you’re going to call someone out, by username, real name, address and phone numbers they should be invited to the forum to give their side. Obviously unpaid items don’t need a ton of info unless coupled with threats and inappropriate behavior.

I haven’t stopped collecting but just haven’t been posting everything. It really just depends on the sellers pics, as that’s what I use to post them. These were all $1 each and any stickers are on the bags. If you don’t know I love the late Marvel Newsstands. However I do pick up the occasional DC book as well. Nothing major that I know of.

I had heard about this from a potential eBay buyer a few months ago. They had messaged me to check ads in the books as that was an indicator of it being a variant. They even took some time to explain it to me. It’s not of much interest to me as I’m more into Post 2000 Marvel Newsstands. I will pickup DC’s as well but I’m more picky and try to only get keys/firsts.

Exactly!! They used different cheaper paper in the Image Newsstands as well. At least all of mine do.

From what I’ve read they got lazy or cheap and stopped changing out the plates during the printing process. I’m not sure when they stopped putting the actual title there. I see a lot of people listing them as errors which they aren’t to my knowledge.

Yeah, it was a 36 book lot that ended up being $1 each including shipping. Yeah the seller said he picked them up from Barnes & Nobles when they were released.

Yeah I just checked out his buying feedback. This guy should be banned. Opened an unpaid item case as well. I mean what are the chances. I had one item listed and was losing $20 on the same to begin with. Now it’s just some more of my time.

He just bought a book from me. He sent me a message saying he’d pay tomorrow. I’m feeling doubtful now.

I love that you disagree with facts and you’re right somehow. All that matters is what’s available. You can find all the books easily except the newsstand. That speaks to its relative rarity. You’re argument is we don’t know what’s out there. I’m saying if you want to find a copy you’d be hard pressed to find one. The others are all readily available. You want the variant graded 9.8. You got it. You want the newsstand good luck finding one.

How is that meaningless? The biggest online source of comics has no relevance?! It’s a fact you can’t dispute. Plenty of direct editions, first and second prints as well as dozens of the variants but not a single newsstand tells me it’s much harder to find. Prove otherwise.

I think it’s not possibly rarer than the variant. It is much rarer than the ratio variant. Find a newsstand on eBay. Now find the ratio variant. Lots of the variants but not a single newsstand. There has been only one newsstand that’s popped up on eBay in the last year. There were a few graded 9.6’s that were put up previous and sold very quickly.
