So 2-3 years ago you sent a book to someone who was getting more signatures for you and you never got the book back? I’m assuming you paid for their services? Why did you wait 2-3 years is my first question? Also the conversation you posted was with said person? Was that a recent conversation or from a few years ago? We need more details.

If I were one of the legit bidders I’d contact eBay and the seller and call them out. What are the odds that the same book has sold several times and each buyer doesn’t want it and it gets relisted to happen again?! It’s readily apparent what it is.

I’m pretty sure it’s a second printing. I’m unsure of whether it’s a direct or newsstand edition. I thought Curtis distributed newsstands only but no barcode. I’m sure someone knows.

Yes, I thought they all had barcodes as well. No, just something I ran across online so I can’t check the indicia. I don’t think the indicia indicated direct or newsstands anyways.

I couldn’t find a thread which dealt with this specifically and didn’t want to start a new thread. So I’m posting here for any experts. Is this Uncanny X-Men 282 2nd Print a newsstand or direct edition? To my knowledge Curtis distributed Newsstands and not Directs but this book has their logo and ID numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

If a buyers holding a negative feedback over your head take the time to call eBay and make them aware. They don’t mess around with that in my experience.

I was offering a possible explanation & no I don’t do that. I barely sell anything and mostly buy. When I do sell it’s actual pictures of what’s available. I guess the best explanation would come directly from the seller. However this persons not here to defend themselves or explain. Hell the person who brought it up didn’t say if the first auction was paid for or it was just ran up and relisted. As well I think a vast majority of shill bidding is found out with second chance offers that are given right after the auction closes.
