And we are closed to new submissions!
I’ll do my best to get the final update done tonight and we can figure things out from there. Thanks!

Just under 90 minutes until the cutoff. Any last-second takers?
-
We are about 36 hours away from the cutoff. If you want to join the fun, time is running out. Thursday is the last day.
Going from memory, I think @SpideyFein and @Haupia are some notable omissions. Joining the festivities this year?

@The Sledder a couple of questions :
1) Usually, the raffle starts day after Christmas, but is now that following Saturday?
2) The Video for ranking will be posted a week before, on Saturday, which you call Christmas Eve?
Christmas Eve is this Sunday afaik, so just some clarification? when you have time, I guess I can wait to see how it plays out
Questioning me? Calling me out in public? You'd better believe the elves are gonna hear about this.
1) The raffle tends to happen the first free day I have that is likely to have good participation. When I took over the raffle, I tried to aim for the first Saturday after Christmas. That was complicated when Christmas was on a Sunday last year, but I happened to be off the following Monday, so it worked reasonably well I think. This year, I won't be available to run this thread until the following Saturday. It generally takes a solid 4-hour block (or longer) of focused attention to keep things moving. If someone wants to step up and run the live raffle thread this year (), I could be persuaded to change the date to whatever works best for them.
2) Perhaps you're mistaken. If you go back and read the first post, you'll find I made no such error. I'll be awaiting my apology.
SpoilerIn case it's not clear, I'm not at all upset. Just playin' around.

No no it didn't bother me I just meant I won't post so many updates, come on elves pick me first for once
I'd say this doesn't help, but I guess I don't remember who has been first pick each year. Maybe they did plead.
Let's look at 1st picks:
2022 - @THE_BEYONDER
2021 - @greggy (Legend has it he was tempted to pick his own box as a prize but when everyone thought he was going to Zig, he Zagged. @Ryan. picked up the scraps in the #2 spot)
2020 - @Barth
2019 - @WEBHEAD
2018 - @Shadow Images
2017 - @loboagain
2016 - @Turtle
Did any of you make any under-the-table deals with the elves?
-
The list is now up to date! As of now, we are less than a week away from the cutoff. If you want to join in the fun, find an offering and post it before December 21st. Time is running out!

I'm trying not to count chickens before they hatch, as I want to be "helpful and not a deterrent..."
I've got a list of 12 that made a placeholder post, but that I could tag for a reminder, I just don't want to do it TOO SOON or have it get in the way as a pestering event
Anyway, 2 of those 12 mentioned being busy or out of town until the end of week, so it being Wednesday I guess I could wait for tag and friendly reminder.
If I can help, I had the time to make myself useful if needed
I'm all for friendly pokes to people who may be interested. Let's not try to bother them if they aren't interested, but I'd hate for someone to accidentally miss out. The more the merrier!

And we're up to date again on the first page (2nd post). Check out all the new offerings. Still about a week and a half to post something if you want to get in on the fun.

Are newish members allowed to join in? If so, although I'm not as wealthy as most people here, I can offer to send out a bunch of extras that I received in my lot purchases. It'll be a bundle of duplicate Tom & Jerry comics that I have, as well as some other extra stuff you'd never expect.
That's the best that I can do, as someone who is a new, small-time, low-grade collector. USA/CAN shipping covered. Let me know if that is permissible.
If it helps to vouch, this is my eBay profile: Feedback Profile (ebay.ca)
You know it's me, because I'm literally the only guy buying up all of the Tom & Jerry comics on eBay and talking about it day-in and day-out here
Hello!
You're welcome to participate. I will just encourage you to really consider whether or not you're in. In the past, we've had one or two newbies who have claimed an item and then disappeared without sending their offering out. It really puts a damper on the event, though we do have some amazing people who tend to step up and pick up slack created by others so no one is left out.
As with any transaction here on the boards, proceed in good faith and you'll find yourself among friends.

Ok all, I'm back. As promised, the first update has been completed. Please check out the 2nd post on page 1 for the list of current offerings. Please also drop a line either here in the thread or via PM if I got your shipping preferences incorrect.
Some really great offerings already! I can't wait to see what else we get.
-
Such good stuff already!
I'll mention that "reserved" posts for offerings will generally end up in an item getting skipped. Feel free to drop memes or tag people in this thread all you want...the more the merrier! When it comes time to post your offering, please make it a new post. This makes it infinitely easier to track items.
Thanks!

As a quick heads up, my first update will likely be delayed. I'll be doing some traveling and won't be back until mid next week. Please don't let that stop you. Feel free to post your offerings. I'll get them updated upon my return.

9 Walmart Exclusive covers, 10 lenticular covers shipped anywhere in US or Canada. VF or better.
SpoilerWent looking for books I'd be least bothered by giving away and settled on some moderns. Turns out, I thought these were a little neater than they apparently are, so I threw in a bunch more that I think are also pretty neat. 9 Walmart exclusive covers: Alien 1, Black Widow: Widow's Sting, Eternals 1, King in Black: Gwenom vs. Carnage, Maestro: War & Pax 1, Rise of Ultraman 1, Silk 1, Venom 25 (purple font) and 10 lenticulars America 8 (ASM39), Black Panther 166 (IH340), Cable 150 (NM87), Captain America 695 (IM126), Captain Marvel 125 (Hulk 1), Falcon 1 (IM71), Invincible Iron Man 593 (IM150), She-Hulk 159 (IH115), Spirits of Vengeance 1 (GSX1), Unbelievable Gwenpool 21 (FF200).
Lot #39 donated by @jas1vans
7 Moon Knight first series (26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33) all in stages of VF. Shipped to US or Canada.
SpoilerFelt guilty about a bunch of moderns and giving away what was easiest. In the spirit of giving, I'm also giving away some books that are on the opposite end of the spectrum and very difficult to give up. Since Star Wars registers beyond difficult, I'll offer up a small batch of Moon Knight books instead. I'll note that 29 might benefit from a press if you're into that kind of thing, and 31 is a gorgeous copy.
Lot #40 donated by @randostoyz

The Ghost of Christmas Slabs Cometh!!!
SpoilerA couple of notes:
I didn't know the Beetle was trimmed as I bought the label not the book from comiclink for the 1st Mentor the Magnificent appearance. IIRC the Adventure Comic was one of my many personal copies and signed back in 2008; it also comes with a Fine reader copy. The Archie is just a fun Betty cover and was my under copy for years but nothing special.
I hope someone finds these books as enjoyable as I did; since it is Friday and we are all here already why not take a second to sell me your NM+ copy of the above Adventure Comics #346 it would totally be in the Christmas spirit! or stop by my weekly updated WTB thread HERE.

Semi-mystery box
SpoilerOk, it’s a Semi-Mystery Box, mostly because I don’t know everything that is going to fill it, but it’s going to be about the size of a USPS Medium Priority Box, it will include those pictured and others that loosely follow this theme of oddities: A Mark Jeweler’s insert book, some DCU logo upc box books, a Canadian Price Variant, some Christmas-themed books including a 1st/only HRN of Classics Illustrated A Christmas Carol, and some signed books including one of Joe Sinnott’s personal file copies of his Archie work. And whatever else I think is cool. There’s at least one more Golden Age book in the stack, a bronze #1, a classic Perez cover, an underground key, and on and on…
