Here's a few key Tec's of mine....
I figured that I better get at least these ones while I still can because all those pre-Robin Tec's in any decent blue-label grades are now out of my price range.
Three important - and very nice books - congrat's.
Agreed
-
I'd like both but if forced I'd take the AF #15
-
Good time to kick this thread up...
great book
-
More than $15,535
$20k

TTA #27 was my first major key.
Haven't owned one for 10 years but this thread has reminded me how great a cover it is.
What are market levels across the grade spectrum?
Market shmarket George. It is the book that counts
Working out what grade I can afford for my budget ($5k).

So Rick.
Question from the UK re Sunday.
Who would you put your money on: Packers or the Steelers?
Press here say Packers as an indoor game will be better for their offense
UK bookies have Green Bay -2.5

This thread seems to have turned into a Tec 29-37 thread. We need to add some variety.
Great book
-
A relatively recent pick up.
I'm expanding my collecting horizon a little:
-
So George, are you gonna hook a brotha up with your Tec 27 4.0 to complete my set
-
Just wanted to give this thread a lil bump.. Happy 2011 everybody
That 4.5 copy of TEC 29 just looks out of place among all those 4.0s. I suggest you let me take it off your hands so you can replace it with a 4.0. It's the right thing to do.
Seriously, you have assembled quite an awesome run of TECs.
Well, according to the census, there have been no 4.0's graded so a 4.5 will do for now
Now go out and add George's 4.0 Tec 27 and you'll be set
No need necessarily to spend 350K for blue. If you are ok with a restored. As expected the UK-Tec has been relisted on the UK-bay.
Close to 100K asking
What about that pricetag?
Buy it Now of £50k (currently around $80k) with a make an offer option.
Bought for all-in price of £28.2k/ $45k by Silveracre.
Run a search on Silveracre if you aren't aware of this seller.

My Ebay win from last month
Good looking book
-
Depends where the book is.
I'm in the UK and have consigned to ComicLink. Shipping to the US at this time of year can take quite a while.
-
I should hope not
NO!
extremely clean and bright...why the 4.0 grade you think Brian?
no staining (thumbs uNice 4.5, but honestly, I prefer my 4.0 The whites on mine are cleaner and overall has a nicer appearanceThe only defects I could see of the book are the top and bottom spine splits. if it weren't for that, probably would grade around an 8.0-8.5.. Or I can have the splits sealed ...
Don't worry, will not do it
An what if I do
Then you might as well sell it to me now as a restored book before you do it

Won a couple of books on Ebay this weekend. #13 and #14. I already had a 13, but the price was right on this one. The 14 is an cgc 8. Happy with both purchases. This that I am now down to 5-6 books for my 1-25 run.
Will be waiting for the group picture on completion of the run

no secret that tec 29 is my Fav. tec (over 31, etc)... I desire 27 more, due to origin, but all things equal, 29 delivers it "all" for m...
now, naturally, cover only, batman 1 blows...but it is the content that makes it "key" to the batman collector...
so, total composition and importance, it is batman 1...cumulative enjoyment and hunt factor, tec 29
couldn't agree more.
If both are available you buy the #29 knowing that you will always have a shot at another Batman #1
-
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me.
Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy.
He would have no problem if it was SC #22 in that condition...............
What makes you think he would overprice a 9.2 SC 22 any less than he`s overpriced the 9.2 SC 4?
-
I'd take the 7.0 and the cash then flip the 7.0, buy George's 4.0 copy, crack it out and then buy about $400k worth of other books, mostly Timely's.
-
Depends on how many high grade DC collectors are out there.
