  1. I’ll be there that Friday running around the show floor in hopes of making some crazy deals happen. My want list consists of some hefty books and I want to spend as little as possible while I’m there.
  2. Let’s hope you unfortunately see me then.
  3. Who will I be seeing at HeroesCon this year?
  4. I decided to bid on that exact copy back in March of this year. My $38,000 bid wasn’t good enough for the $80,000 it hammered at.
  5. Superman v. Muhammad Ali It’s a singular piece of pop culture history that likely could never have been made at a different time or with a different fighter.
  6. $120k for a CGC 4.5? That was most definitely a steal! Rarely do you see mid-grade copies anymore.
  7. I tried to get my hands on it at the very least, but $84k isn’t all that bad since this book hardly comes up.
  8. I remember when you could get an unrestored CGC 2.0 for close to $40k.
  9. I’d say UF #4 is this generation’s AF #15.
  10. I thought that price was pretty soft for a high grade TEC #69.
  11. Man… Neal Adams, George Perez, and now Tim Sale all in the span of just a few months. The Long Halloween is up there as one of my favorite Batman stories. May he Rest In Peace.
  12. My prediction was $4.5M and that seemed like a realistic selling point for it. It was pretty underwhelming seeing it go for $2.4M in the live auction, but whoever won that cover definitely got it for a steal.
  13. The Batman #428 cover sold for a very solid price.
  14. A CGC 9.8 Hulk #181 sold for $102k on Heritage today. https://comics.ha.com/itm/bronze-age-1970-1979-/the-incredible-hulk-181-marvel-1974-cgc-nm-mt-98-white-pages/a/7274-91022.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
  15. It didn’t sell for that much more on Heritage.
  16. My prediction is $4.5M for TDKR #1 cover.
