  1. Sounds like you have plenty of gems tucked away. What are the chances of you having an All-American #16? Asking for a friend.
  2. Can’t forget the legendary Tim Frommelt. He ran into like… what? $1 trillion dollars and saw comics as an investment. I wonder why he didn’t post the proof. He said he’d do it.
  3. I’ve heard two things regarding the Church/MH copy of AA #16. It’s now owned by Steve Borock. Rose Verzyl still has possession of it. Can anyone confirm either one?
  4. Sold Alain an ASM #129. Great guy to deal, fast and easy payment!
  5. NOT $1800! That’s a ridiculous offer to make when someone is trying to sell an ungraded FF #1. Talk about lowballing.
  6. I also don’t get how people are questioning the legitimacy of the sale when there were reputable people involved.
  7. Standard rules apply: I’ll consider offers, but first gets the book! This trumps previous negotiations unless both parties have come to an agreement, at which time I will close the book. No probation or HOS boardies allowed. I’ll be accepting PayPal. Shipping is $15 for slabs within the U.S. territories only. International buyers, please inquireabout shipping. No returns on CGC graded book. $2400
  8. I’ve never heard of that book until now.
  9. I know that’s the cause for it. We’ve been seeing inflated prices with this Pedigree for awhile now.
  10. This sale surprised me a bit. I didn't think it would hit $30k for a CGC .5 copy that's incomplete.
  11. Hulk #181 would be my choice. It’s the first full appearance of Wolverine, and he’s one of the most popular Marvel characters. I see it as an “investment” since it’s constantly going up in value and it’s also one of the books from the BA people constantly ask about.
  12. The shirt was just a disguise.
  13. Better question.. will it surpass the Amazing Fantasy #15 sale of $3,600,000?
  14. Imagine going to jail for stealing comic books.
  15. 1. Showcase #4 2. Showcase #22 3. The Brave and the Bold #28 4. Flash #105 5. Adventure Comics #247 6. Our Army At War #83 7. Showcase #8 8. Showcase #6 9. Showcase #34 10. Brave and Bold #34 I would like to honorably mention Detective Comics #225 as it didn’t make the list. Although many consider this the first Silver Age book, Martian Manhunter makes his first appearance in this issue and it precedes Showcase #4 by nearly a year.
  16. +1 There was a recent record breaking sale of $57k in a CGC 9.8.
  17. It was more along the lines of “Out of all the possible ways he could have sent you pictures, why did he choose a CD?”
  18. They’ve rebranded. Their original Instagram account was disabled and they were forced to use a backup account, which can be found here.
  19. Sorry to hear that you were cut from the deal, but this was an interesting story. Was there any particular reason as to why your client sent you a dozen photos of the Cap #1 on a CD?
