  1. The Hulk Scene Machine. You look through the back of the van and see an action scene image. Like the homemade protector?
  2. Thanks! Here's a four pack featuring the Hulk Scene Machine.1978.
  3. Cool. Tell him they are doing a great job. I search for these on eBay, so I see all the newer Marvel Hot wheels stuff they're putting out and it's really nice.
  4. these are beautiful! Ive close to 500 hot wheels in blister packs, but nothing like this!lovely Thanks! In addition to the Cap, there's one for Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Silver Surfer, Thor and Human Torch and Thing. I know of at least one variant (in addition to a blue and yellow card for each).
  5. Hi Everyone, I had these when I was a kid, and have loved them ever since. I believe the blue cards are from 1977 and the yellow cards from 1980. I'm trying to collect both sets (on unpunched cards). I'm not a hot wheels collector, I'm a comic book fiend, so I'd love to learn more about them. I'd also love to see pics of your vintage Marvel hot wheels (especially the multi-packs sold in K-Mart). Thanks. Tim
  6. Here's a fun one Sorry it's sideways My first image post ever I believe.
  7. I track these and collect them. The interest and premium both seem to be increasing. A couple dozen just sold last week - over $100 for MTU! link
  8. It can go either way. And I have pages from later all Janson issues (DD 187), and there are unerased pencils there too. Scott Thanks Scott.
  9. I just looked closely at my DD 180 page. It clearly has pencils beneath the ink. Would Klaus have light boxed the separate Miller sheet in pencil before he inked it? Or do inkers usually apply the ink directly without pencils when light boxing?
  10. I love these! There is at least one more Also, there were two printings of both sets. First Printing has one asterisk and second printing has two. Though I may be the only person that collects/cares about such things?
  11. And all I wanted was a little advice about my UXM 282. :: -slym I've avoided posting in this thread, as there are some strong opinions, and some rather cutting remarks, being made. But I will say this, as my perspective. Newsstand copies from 1976 to 1984 are as plentiful in ultra high grade, if not moreso Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree, at least on the books that I search for. As I mentioned earlier, I collect Miller DD and other Miller covers in CGC 9.4. (Maybe your "ultra high grade" distinction rules this grade out- if so, my argument is moot). I searched the current comiclink auction for 9.4 copies of Wolverine Ltd. Series (1982). There are 6 direct copies and 0 newsstand copies available. In the 'for sale' section, there are 10 copies shown (sold and unsold), all direct, 0 newsstand copies. Again, I'm not arguing that there's a great premium, just that I'm willing to pay a premium when I find newsstand copies because they are harder for me to find, and I like them better. I bought them that way off the stand at the 7-11.
  12. I try to collect both newsstand and direct copies of every Miller DD book (CGC). Direct vs. newsstand availability is 20/1 (guess based on daily searching). I am willing to pay more and have often paid more for newsstand copies in same grade as direct. Not dramatic differences in price, but the variance is increasing as more folks realize that newsstand copies are tougher. It also gives a collector (me) a reason to own two copies of the same book they love.
  13. This is the same link posted on page 29 of this thread. Sorry, I popped out and missed a few pages.
  14. Rich Johnston just posted a story about this on bleeding cool: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/11/18/bill-sienkiewicz-and-the-troll/
  15. Sweet! This is the Canadian Edition (Wolverine 3), but I'm sure you know that. Tim
