  11. +1 Super looking book!! 2.0, what's it have, no back cover? What's up Bro? Thanks guys! I thought the same thing about the back cover...and the seller did not post a picture of the back cover so I figured it had to be a mess. But it's all there. [/img] Book presents great for a 2.0 IMO. 14. This is a great cover for the following discussion...re the final artwork which is a collaboration. Ditko or Kirby does the pencils...the "art". They or others do the inking...most always others. Think assembly line... Someone else presumably does the colors. Who decides the colors...did the original artist do a colored "pencil" and they dictated the colors or was there some other formula and handled by someone else? Was Lee involved? The colorist decides. Most of the coloring in those days was done by Stan Goldberg. He also designed the color schemes of many of the superheros we know and love. Marie Severin and George Roussos were also colorists, but Stan preceded both IIRC. Stan is also an artist (Millie, Archie et. al.) and is still around and working. Here's a bio from Stan's website. Good info. And great sketch! Yes, thanks for shedding some light on the subject. (thumbs u The color schemes are so important and so overlooked.
  15. Some sweet STs I just picked up. In general, I've had great difficulty picking up STs in this grade due to all the usual reasons. Very pleased with these:
  16. I happened to see him speaking about the preheros in one of those history of Marvel shows. He seemed to be a lttlle disdainful about the period, thinking the names of the creatures were all pretty redundant and over the top. Shocking, I know. He seemed to have a little more self esteem about the Amazing Adult Fantasy stuff he did with Ditko, signing both their names to it. He seemed proud about those books.
  17. Great books Art, TOS#32 is definitely a favorite of mine! (thumbs u
  18. PKD was a genius, even if he did repeat himself on occasion. In addition to the ones you mentioned, "A Scanner Darkly" and "The Transmigration of Timothy Archer" are great. And "Valis" actually changed my life. Just finishing "A Scanner Darkly" and have heard good things about the other 2 you mentioned. Will definitely check them out! (thumbs u
  19. I've been reading alot of Phillip K. recently. I had started with "Man in the High Castle" a few months ago, which I liked except for the ending. I went on to read a short story collection which contained "The Variable Man", "The Second Variety", "The Hanging Man", all of which I loved. Finally got read "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep" and was very impressed. A story I hadn't previously heard of, "Ubik", is probably my favorite of the bunch. I'm just blown away by PKD's talent in general, he's even better than the accolades.
  20. A very cool and underrated issue. Nice. Nice copy!! 7.5 is definitely a great value in terms of eye appeal relative to price.
