  1. Has anyone else noticed the gocollect website crashing and/or loading extremely slow? Perhaps it is just me or there is an unusual amount of fair market value determinations being made for CGC submission invoices which is slowing the site.
  2. It's usually after the sun goes down and quickly followed be an feeding frenzy
  3. There are some recently hired CGC "efficiency experts" who think it will.
  4. I wonder if they use the old pricing if they sign for the box before 5/28 but don't open it. It would seem unfair to charge them new rates because they didn't open it in time.
  5. The next "step" will be receiving a CGC acknowledgement email. On my previous submissions last year it took 12 business days and 22 business days from when my card was charged to when I received the email. The lag time is based on the book tier and the current turnaround time. Since the turnaround times are slower now than when I did it you should probably expect a longer lead time. The CGC email will mean that the CCS services are complete and your books have moved over the CGC to wait in the grading queue. I hope this helps.
  6. Having said that and this is important as someone who has filed and won 3/3 insurance claims due to damage from USPS you have to be able to prove the books are worth that much and the damage was caused by USPS. IF the books/slabs arrived back to you damaged you would need to provide pictures of the damaged books or slabs, take the box w/damaged books and all packing material to the local post office for inspection, provide bank statements that show the money was actually paid for the raw book and grading service and a print out from a reputable grading database like gocollect that shows the fair market value. All three times I filed it was due to a cracked slab in shipping and I was able to get $50-$68 back but it took 3-6 months and I had to appeal 2 of them twice. I am a stickler for justice though so I stuck with it. I suspect many people wouldn't dedicate the time, energy and patience that I did. I think it would be very difficult to win an insurance claim on damage to a raw book because there would be disagreement on the grade of the book and fair market value. Just my
  7. I am relatively close as well and I called last summer and they said they weren't taking any in person drop offs due to COVID but they intended to resume once the pandemic was under control. I would call customer service and see if they have resumed in-person drop offs.
  8. Is CGC planning to be at Megacon for on-site grading? I don't see any on-site grading on their events schedule. I'm curious when and where they will start offering this service.
  9. I bought two nice ASM slabs from Adam. They were well packaged and communication was excellent throughout the transaction. I hope to do more business with Adam in the future. Thanks!
  10. Claudio bought two ASM slabs from me during a recent sales thread. He provided immediate payment and communication was excellent throughout the transaction. I hope to buy or sell with you again in the future. -Adam
