If my memory is correct most or all of them tmnt the two at the right are muckman and wyrm the extreme left dont recall name but tmnt too but i dont remember the ape one hhha memory not what you used to be....hope it was usefull(thumbsu

Thank you! Yes that is useful. I didn't even think of TMNT. The 2nd from the right looked like the toxic avenger so that's why I was thinking that.

P.S. After looking them up I've discovered the ape is named Sgt. Bananas. Cant think of a better name for that guy. lol from L to R: Scumbag, Sgt. Bananas, Muckman, Wyrm

What’s your thoughts on King in Black? I haven’t read any modern Venom. How much backstory do I need to have to follow it?

I'm loving it, but I also grew up a huge Venom fan and he's been my favorite since. The only real backstory you need to know is Cates' and Stegman's run on Venom, you don't need to go ALL the way back to his 1st app. Absolute Carnage is also a lead in to King in Black. So pretty much just any venom related stuff for the past 3 years. I'd recommend it but I'm also biased. lol

  3. These past few weeks, I've still been making my way through Hickman's "Time Runs Out" story and also started reading Bendis' run on Guardians of the Galaxy. I've almost made it through the whole omnibus, just have the last 4 issues in the collection to go (Guardians of Knowhere, which I plan on reading after I finish Time Runs Out and Secret Wars). Id say the majority of my NCBD reads have been King in Black. I have been enjoying the Marvel anthology series as well. Batman: Black and White has been amazing and so has the Other History of the DC Universe. if you haven't read Other History yet, I highly recommend it. Between Guardians and Time Runs Out, I've really slowed down on my GA books reading. I did get a few in though, my favorite on this list has to be Startling Terror Tales #11, it doesn't get much better than golden age crime comics. I've also started to read Jim Starlin's Dreadstar. Got through the first book which collects Epic Illustrated 1-9. I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

  4. Some of my favorite cosmic stuff from that time period is the original Thanos saga, beginning in Iron Man 55 and ending in Marvel Two-in-One annual 2. A good majority of these issues are getting on the pricey side but you can get the whole saga in the trade, Avengers vs. Thanos.

Edit: Don't know why these uploaded sideways but I cant seem to correct it for some reason.

War of Kings is hopelessly out of print.

I loved Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest. I read those in floppies when I still had a modern pull list.

I’ve heard that the modern Cosmic Saga also includes War of Realms but haven’t caught up to reading that yet.

Yea, that's what it's looking like. I'll just have to read it on the app or some other way. I'll look into War of Realms also. Thanks for the heads up.

  6. Just got my first Omnibus in the mail today. I knew these things were big but I think I still underestimated just how big. Just made my way through the first "chapter'' of this series. Ive been thinking of reading the whole Annihilation/Kings series after this and getting those in omnibus as well (Annihilation, Annihilation: Conquest, War of Kings including Prelude and Aftermath). I cant seem to find a copy of WoK for less than $300 though! Is that OoP?

  7. I don't have very many Hitler/Axis/WWII covers but I'm excited to share what I do have. Sorry about the Mylar glare, these are pretty much the cream of my crop and I'm too scared to take them out of the Mylar. I'll dig through some more boxes to see if I've got any others I've forgotten about.
