    I recently asked this question in the grading forum: what is the highest possible grade on a otherwise perfect book with cover detached at one staple? I had seen a 6.0 once. Another boardie had seen a 7.0. So, the max would be around a FVF grade if everything else is perfect. My guess for this book would be a 5.0 Let's wait to see what others think.

    I think a clean and press might not improve the grade in this case. There is nothing to be done for the tear and slice.

    The majority opinions so far are -- B then A Only A I would personally go for "B then A". I believe most people are reasonable if you politely ask. That happened in this case too.

    4.5 Agree with everyone here. I have a question. The picture that shows spine split at the top has a small red patch in the middle. Could it be color touch on the spine?

    They are sometimes notoriously strict with their grades. Couple of questions: Was there any grader notes with this listing? Was this a consignment?

    Front cover bottom right corner-- is that a tear? I am thinking around 6.5 as it is. Pressing should improve the grade.
