  1. Great book, Ben! When I grow up, I hope to be a true Timely collector. Jeff, based on your sig line you are a big boy Timely collector
  2. I can't think of any other boardees other than me, you, Roy, and Billy that like the 9 as much as we all do. I have an 18 year history with the book so its slump the past 3-4 years is disappointing but not stopping me from owning a copy
  3. Back into a 9 for the fourth time. I think a slow rebound will happen in the next year. Still a top 5 Timely for the true Timely collector.
  4. I watched the parade on TV . Congrats on that one Ray. You are a true Batman fan. Where will you hang that up?

He thumbed it up for about 10 minutes before we took off for some lunch. GREAT day!!! Funny book show where I picked up some great stuff, then some lunch, then over to Russ' where I got to look at some killer raw books!!! THEN I met my daughter for dinner!!! Doesn't get much better than THAT!!! sounds like a great day Jim
  9. Agreed. Also, page quality may play a factor. That being said, based on what the CGC 4.5 copy sold for in March on CC, I would guess 100k or so. Idle speculation from the cheap seats, but I have a suspicion he would take an offer of $100K. that's my old copy as of a few weeks ago. Beautiful and structurally every bit a 5.0. The dust shadow is much lighter in hand.
  10. This would be a nice set of names if they are compiled in one publication or website. Otherwise, checking approximately 400 issues in that time frame would be a fun project.
  11. you haven't thought about owning two? Thought about it...? Absolutely! I've also thought about being a rock star, a professional tennis player, a movie star, independently wealthy... sounds like a winner to me
  12. you haven't thought about owning two? Primetime. I thought we are on the same time frame your post says 8:04pm its only 6:06 now? your settings may be off? I know the boards runs on EST.

  15. Congratulations! Nice copy. I know you've been looking for one for awhile +1 Very solid copy for the grade - great eye appeal. agreed with Frank and Court. (thumbs u
  16. that's for sure. They are human at CGC . Goes to show you that it is wise to know your comics...front to back. It was graded July 2000. I suppose it is very possible that Borock & company didn't miss it but the error was that it didn't get typed onto the label..? We have seen errors on labels before. Buy the book not the label.
  17. Wow. Beautiful. Congrats. Does anyone have a scan of the highest graded universal copy? that's the Allentown 9.6. Someone has a scan of that one.
