  1. Went to April's Collectors Summit show but missed this one. Hoping for a repeat next year.

There have been some jawdropper pickups being shared on IG... definitely some higher caliber books compared to the previous show.

I'm hoping the dealers left feeling good enough to want to come back. And that Heritage is inclined to host again.

A repeat November date would be ideal... I'd have six months to refill the coffers after some comic-centric shows early next year.

  2. SDCC is fun to experience at least once in your lifetime, but tickets are hard to score and are also very expensive. I recommend checking out a local one first… there are so many happening throughout the year. Then try one of the big city cons.

If you are after older books and Golden Age, check out Heroes in Charlotte and BaltimoreCon.

  3. As a seller on Ebay, I’ve dropped off an item at a person’s apartment, with his permission first, and during the daytime. He lived in the same city and was nearby my work commute. Plus, it was a nice item and the less time spent in postal delivery, the less anxiety for me.

Most importantly, I took photos of the apartment building and his unit number, me leaving the package at his doorstep, and the door opening as he was coming out.

An extended time for payment is acceptable as long as they seem sincere and responsive. You just have to trust your gut instinct with that.

  4. Great report! So much Golden Age eye candy! Thanks for taking so many pics, @Bumble Kitty.

Looks well-attended by the major dealers. Hope they all did well in sales.

Loved seeing that AC1... and very curious to see what emerges out of Harley's new collection.

I've been to SDCC only once before... in 1995... would love to do it again one of these days.

  5. @fett Patsy Walker definitely works for Green Bowtie lady.

I was down to the last two and each one had options.

Brunette with the brown bikini - this one could have been Madame Strange (with black hair)... but I stuck with the brown hair color.

Alice of the Winged People was another option, but Brunette girl is definitely missing a cape.

I ended up going with Princess Pantha.

Blue Lapel lady - Could have been the Blue Lady but she has a mask. I went with Pat Patriot despite the black hair.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in!

  6. Really appreciate the responses so far. This has been a fun challenge so far and I didn't think I'd get anywhere this close to finishing. Thanks much!

@teleritesI will mark ranger lady with the front pockets as Nyoka and come up with something else for the previous Nyoka with the blue lapels. Blue Lapel lady came up on a website or two... so I'll backtrack.

@CrocHntrI can also live with sleeves-up white-blouse lady as being Flying Jenny. The headband and blouse are close enough.

Still searching for yellow-blouse lady with the green butterfly fascinator on her head.

Top Row - Brunette lady with the brown bikini top looks like she might be wearing a helmet.

  7. Found this Golden Age group shot rendering online and tried to ID as many characters as I could. Also got some help from members in a FB JSA room.

I’m down to the last four heroines - shown circled. I’m not counting the floating male head at the top right corner since I can’t quite discern a costume.

Have gone through Gerber a couple of times for reference, and also scoured the Public Domain Superheroes website.

    Any corrections are also appreciated.

Lastly, if anyone knows where the image came from, I’d like to credit them accordingly. It looks like it came from a magazine, with the pagefold gutter barely showing up along the right edge.

(The Black Widow is to the left of Doctor Mid-Nite. Forgot to tag her.)
