There's an ebay seller who buys many low auctions and resells them on his account as higher priced BINs.. using the same exact photos as the auctions he bought them from.. so his page is literally a mismatch hodgepodge of different backgrounds and settings.. it's quite whimsical... I know this because a seller friend of mine on ebay has a very identifiable glass table and angle he shoots from. I was surprised to see his same glass dinner table in a different state!

just goes to show buyers don't know how to grade. But how is this any different from buying a raw comic at a store and then reselling online as a higher grade than advertised? This time it's only more obvious and traceable

I must say this person is the greatest comic seller I have seen. To buy a book well over the going rate with a production flaw and to even think you can sell it for more amazes me. Then to actually do it. I bow down to your greatness. Most I would pay for that book would be 1500 and only for purpose of resale cause production creases get no pass from me. Crease is a crease I don't care how it got there. This person is going to sell it for 3300 plus. Bidders are dumb enough to pay that much money yet smart enough to know how production flaws are graded. Incredible.
If he has the balls to get away with it I actually think he should .. this is wrong practice but if buyers are paying then I can't say it's wrong... he's remixing / enhancing
Idk sure you feel a type of way cause he's getting crazy $ for raw books. that makes me envious but everything you mentioned I agree with

Is anything "Not" the first print considered a variant?
Marvel in the mid late 2000s always noted later printings of comics "2nd printing variant" on the cover so I would say so

It's definitely harder to find than the standard foil cover.. somewhat of a B cover.. I think Michael Golden is the cover artists which is awesome

Punisher 102 .. not sure if mentioned but it's also low print.. sweet Bullseye cover

I hate it when sellers sell the item for say $1 then charge $49 shipping to make their listing look attractive

I don't know about heating up, but just about everything Spawn that I put up on eBay seems to go pretty quick.
The 220s homage covers are selling for top dollar

What's the deal with the Punisher, just low print run?
Yeah it's like around a $20 book... last issue in the Punisher Armory series.. kinda hard to find mixed in with an amazing Michael Golden cover

This was my last flea comic haul two months ago before everything stopped. The Punisher was 50 cents and the Boba was $20.. Really nice solid copies.. As I was paying $15 for the X-Men 50 a random guy was literally pulling it from my hands.. He's said "it's a nice one".. yeah jerk it's mine lol. I don't mind others taking a look at what I have but just don't grab it and be polite

2.9.20 Once a week I hit up several thrift stores in one outing. Rarely are there ever any comics let alone decent ones. This is probably 1 per 500 trips. All recent 2011-2019 New 52/Rebirth/NOW comics. Full runs/sets.. The original owner took really good care of his books. I bought 7 boxes. Issues like All New Wolverine 2, DP/Spidey 1, Invincible Iron Man 9, Seven to Eternity 1. Side note: try not to show the employees you're getting a deal

For some $50 isn't affordable. Others 50 grand is affordable. But if well under a grand isn't affordable for a book that has a iconic cover by a popular hot artist and the first Appearance of a fairly original popular hot character then you aren't going to have much of a collection. I sold my copies so I dont even own the book but there is a good chance I will be picking up a copy this year. Wait to see what the covid effect does. But if I wanted one right this minute it is nothing to buy one. Wait a day or week or month for promo to get 10 percent back. Use credit. 0 interest 6 months to pay. I can manage 100 bucks a month for 6 months. Heck I just got a email for 12 months interest free. 50 bucks a month zero interest sounds affordable to me. 9.6 for 600 bucks. 9.8s are over 2 grand. 3 and a half times more expensive. Nyx 3 or Bat 12 9.6 to 9.8 aren't even double. I can get a 9.6 asm 300 for the same price as 2 other books whose 9.8s are 700 to 1100 cheaper than a asm 300. Not only affordable but a absolute bargain. You can be one of the insufficiently_thoughtful_persons who pays 200 to 300 for a 7.0 8.0 just like the ones that buy nm98 8.0 for 200 when f0r 300 they could have a 9.6.
There aren't many 50K comics out there that are a bargain

Brave and the Bold 33 is creeping up in prices and has a lot of sold copies this month

Just got off the phone, the new collectibles category fees would be 12.35% plus .30 cents ebay processing fee .. The ebay PayPal contract ran out so PP is no longer needed for sellers to collect funds but as buyer you can still use PayPal for purchasing. 12.35% (new ebay fee) vs 12.90% (current ebay PayPal combined fee) ... you save a little which adds up as a volume seller but I still like receiving instant payments rather than waiting 2-3 business days for the funds to clear my checking account.

This happened on another app and it's horrible having to wait 2-3 days for the payment to arrive in my bank account versus right away in my PayPal account.. i hate the process.. I got the same ebay email.. now something else for me to do great ! lol.
